^ That contradiction - Marisa apparently still being contracted to VS yet doing nothing for them - makes me wonder if whatever contract she signed that put her back on the VSAA page was actually just a vehicle for a non-compete clause. If VS had scheduled her for the "Love Rocks" launch/campaign following her first Angel contract's expiration (assuming that is what happened), they clearly meant to keep her in the fold. But if she and VS couldn't come to terms on a new Angel contract, it would be understandable that VS wouldn't want to risk letting their best spokesmodel walk to a competitor when her profile is still on the rise.

  6. My favorite thing about all these model pro and con comments is that the people who make them almost always seem to lurk in the threads for the models they claim to hate so much.

^ Thanks! Marisa throwing a football in Trafalgar Square in London to promote the NFL: Apparently there is going to be an NFL fan rally in London this afternoon too, which might be broadcast on TV.

It took 37 points and OT for the Ravens to beat the freakin' Bills today. :x
  15. I think the real question is whether it can actually sink any lower. And the idea that this woman is hot was just media exaggeration to make the whole she's-a-spy thing a better story when it was revealed. Ugly spies = not interesting.
  16. ^^ Exactly. VS might be doing more to promote the bra, but let's not confuse that for the media making a bigger deal about it than in previous years. To them it's just another news story, same as every other year.

^ Of the articles I've read by people on a soapbox over this, Vaccaro was one of the more reasonable writers. But the overall argument is dumb to me. I'm sure Marisa is going to wear nothing as sexualized as your average NFL cheerleader outfit. In other news...
  18. Uhhh, the vast majority of people who've commented on the bra have been positive, from what I've read. Way to overreact! Based on what exactly? I think your Lima-fandom really ran away with you in this post.

    Marisa... used for political propaganda?

I hate to break it to you, but your own individual experience regarding this does not define how it is for everyone else. Great, you have friends in high places who've had implants. That doesn't mean much in such vague terms, as a woman can have implants and go from an "A" cup to a "B", and under business clothing the visual difference is likely minor and irrelevant in being hired. If a woman's breasts are distinctly larger (which is, to me, the real issue here), then from all I've read, that increased cup size does have a rather dramatic effect on a woman's likely salary. Face it: the business world is still male-dominated and often chauvinistic, which means a lot of men doing the hiring will look at an obviously busty, sexy woman and see, not a qualified professional, but rather their next sexy secretary.

Apparently Marisa's being hired as a spokesperson for the NFL is drawing quite a bit of criticism of hypocrisy (like here) thanks to the league trying to take the moral high road after the recent women-in-the-NFL debacles only to turn around and hire a model to represent them.
  22. That's a big fail for VS if someone like Pink can see the FB and not even be sure that that's what it is.
  23. ^ There is no such thing as an exception to a rule, IMO. If an exception is possible, it was never truly a rule to begin with, and this "rule" in particular has never looked like anything other than fan speculation to me, like so many other supposed VS policies.
  24. Oh, well, my computer's been down for a little while so I only skimmed the last couple pages to catch up. But even then, I just saw rationales for why Candice didn't get the bra, not anything close to proof that she was never considered. I think trying to argue she was never considered is just silly.
  25. As a guy, I think I'd feel awesome about myself for landing such a job.
