for the same reason that KK, Doutzen, Poly, Izabel, etc etc all don't. those subforums haven't been updated in AGES. and they don't plan on changing them any time soon.

i just ADORE selita. she's so vibrant and shimmery and sexy. she's full of life! i hope she gets the opportunity to branch out a bit from just VS and SI. even though those are HUGE accomplishments for a model, she's gotta go the Heidi or Tyra route and start doing tv shows, hosting gigs, movies, etc. even if they're not great -- it's still a ton of exposure which will make her more and more famous and more and more successful (*and more and more $$$*)

so i see that i did a list earlier of who my idea Angels would be if it were RIGHT NOW... but if i could pick my DREAM TEAM of models from ANY point in their career and make them all Angels right now -- this would be my list... ... and they'd take the world by storm! Karolina Kurkova c. 2003 -- her body was at it's most unbelievably perfect. she was just a bit more toned and lean than she is now, but still curvier than when she first started. she's a wonderful spokesmodel. gorgeous face, radiant smile, huge personality. a dream. for me, she is THE ideal blonde bombshell Gisele Bundchen c. 2006 -- i think Gisele has always been in top form. but around this period she got a bit curvier and it just added to her appeal. she's sporty, down-to-earth, loud, fun. one of the best walks ever. an idea Angel who represented the company very well for years. Plus, her and KK look and work wonderfully together. Tyra Banks c. 1998 -- at this time, there was no model who was more beautiful. it was before she became TYRA!!!! the drag queen esque, self indulgent personality she is now. back in 1998, she was wonderfully commercial, had the best breasts on earth, that most beautiful face, and a killer personality as well. a true STAR. and this was her peak year. Heidi Klum c. 1999 -- the perfect Golden Girl. i remember everything about Heidi at this time as being golden; her hair, her skin, her eyes, and of course --whatever she touched. she has an innocent playfulness to her and her and Tyra have always complimented each other. and of course, who can ignore The Body, which was at it's best around this time. Stephanie Seymour c. 1992 --- the dark-haired sex bomb. i don't know if there has been another model before or since who reflects such pure, raw, sensuality. she IS the personification of sex in every pic. and this was her peak. she looked hotter than ever. she's more of an introvert than the other models ... more of an intellectual. she brings a different appeal than the other bombshells on the list.

she's just so unbelievably gorgeous. such a classic swimsuit model. tremendously beautiful! does anyone have pics from the 2003 SI issue? the one where she was on the cover, i think... or maybe i'm thinking of the year before ... the pics all had a sailor-esque quality to them. lots of nautical things, blues, big ropes, etc. those were my favourite Daniela pics ever.

In terms of the VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW, seeing your sketch, joe, really helped me to imagine how the girls could potentially walk across that STAGE. (*because it IS a stage, not a runway -- at least from the front*) and i think that could look really awesome. an interesting and potentially refreshing change.

she's SO beautiful, i really wish she were getting more varied work. really, all she does is VS and SI. sure enough, those are 2 of the most high-profile gigs a model can get ... but it's not enough to keep her busy.

okay okay... now, don't misinterpret me. i have actually become a sort of fan of Marisa's. you'll note, in her thread i've even posted a few times saying things such as "incredibly hot. best body ever. super sexy" (*not often do i post there, but it has happened!*) i think she's great for VS. she's just awful on the runway. IN MY OPINION. in fact, in the thread for last year's VSFS i posted numerous times about how excited i was to see her on the runway. she still looked incredible, she's just got a bad walk. so i wasn't suggesting that she NOT be used in the show, moreover i was suggesting that, though Anne V is hot and all, if she can't walk i'd rather HER not be in the show. Marisa is extremely popular and WILL be in the show, regardless of how any of us feel about it. i know that, so chill out and retract your claws!

while i personally would really LOVE to see KK open again (*and i believe that she is one of, if not the strongest walker that they have*), i think VS is really trying to promote their newest Angels, Miranda and Doutzen ... and i think that it's a safe bet that DOUTZEN will be the opener. which is entirely fine with me. she's got a great walk, she's impossibly beautiful and she's definitely on her way to proper mainstream supermodel status.

while i believe that Isabeli is certainly the better model, she also seems like quite a bitch. and beyond that, she hasn't much personality that i can determine. Izabel is great in interviews, she is fun and also hot. so she gets my vote.
