I was able to get a hold of my cousin and so far they're okay. I also spoke to one of childhood best friends who lost her home in the 2017 fires. As of now she's good, but the fire is creeping towards her home. Apparently a lot of people aren't able to make calls very well because something is happening with the cell towers. The fire is now double the size of San Fransisco (nearly triple at 114 square miles), and there is another wind event happening tonight. People are so scared the fire is going to jump Hwy 101 and head into Santa Rosa (to the area that was burnt in 2017)

Every single one of my family members and friends is currently without power, this has been going on for weeks. Half of them have been evacuated, and the other half are waiting for the order. This is what happens when Liberal Lawmakers don't allow Forestry/Logging because we must save the trees, think of the environment and shit. This is what happens when the State of California who knew PG&E was scuffed yet put zero pressure on them to update their shit, more fucking fires. Last year my cousin lost his home in Paradise. Two years ago I had countless friends and some family who lost everything, and I lost my childhood home, and the year before that one of my best friends sisters lost her home and business. Buffy's apt building went up in flames. What's going to happen this year? @Stormbringer They made a documentary about the fire my cousin was in Update - If this fire pushes south it'll run into Northern Santa Rosa and probably consume the area that Christopher and I first lived in when we started dating I can't get a hold of my old neighbors to find out if they're okay.

About sums it up
My parents were also baby boomers, and i gotta agree, they are the greatest generation ever. My dad born in 1948, mom 1950, I was born in 1976 (giving away my age, but fuck it, you couldn't pay me enough to want to be in my 20's or even early 30's). Though I will contest that GenX have the second best generation. From being a child/preteen in the 80's, and a teen 90-94 during he height of Gunge Music and the Goth scene, I feel I grew up in an extremely balanced time with balanced morals.
