You can tell the writers of Cobra Kai really care about the Karate Kid movies and characters. Wish we got this on the Disney Star Wars ST. They managed to create new characters, while paying tribute to the old ones, complexifying the story and making it better than the movies. Well done! I actually start to think it's better than the movies (certainly better than the sequels - it might be a tie with the original movie).
