The plot is radically altered and the only thing that still remains in the movies from the books is that a guy from the US Goverment, (the departments even differ from book to movie) changes his identity and then has a massive memory loss. Thats it, oh and maybe Maria but she nothing like in the books, real red hair, doctor who works for the Canadian govt., and in the book shes got bigger tits.
