insf Posted February 19, 2008 Share Posted February 19, 2008 Really glad to see this thread expanding. She was my FAVORITE high fashion model of late 80's through the early 90's. In fact, she was a very prolific model working non-stop from 85-94, that's like almost a decade of supermodeldom! She's not very well known in the US but I think in Europe she has always been a very famous A-list supermodel and especially in France which is the country she's from, she's a huge celebrity and now she's 42 and working on a movie career. She is just a few of the supermodels that belong to the elite group that can claim a George Michael video, Victoria's Secret, Sport Illustrated, Guess?, calendar and People's 50 Most Beautiful People in the World, just a very impressive resume and of course she was a cover machine like someone had mentioned earlier in this thread! She was also muse to Mugler and Gianfranco Ferrer and I remember watching a Fashion TV clip in the US where Gilles Dufour (some creative head at Chanel) said that she had the most beautiful nose in the world, thought that was kind of funny. About 75% of the photos posted so far in this thread were pix taken of her pass her prime when she was already in her 30's so I don't think these pix really do her justice. Please post more earlier stuff from 86-90, that was her peak and she was very striking during this period. Also, her runway walk is very cute too, I remember seeing a fall 93 Chanel clip of her walking alongside of Amber Valleta and how she stopped at the end of the runway and put her 2 hands on her hip was so cool.
