While I absolutely ADORE the commercial spots for that campaign, I am not a fan of those studio shots.  Uggh. :yuckky:

I know! And these days her eyebrows look way too arched. It makes her look like she had a brow lift.

^ I read somewhere that Linda kept her brows bleached on purpose, keeping her face a blank "canvas" for which the make-up artist can paint his/her own vision.  All I know is that those Aura Loewe studio shots are hideous.  LOL. :yuckky:

OH. MY. GOODNESS. We finally have the correct Vogue Japan September 2014 cover, folks! :ddr:  No, it's not what I had originally hoped for but I do love it!!  :wub2:   If anyone has a bigger, version, please post ASAP!!  Linda looks GORGEOUS here!!   And is that Nadja Auermann next to Claudia Schiffer?   I haven't seen her in ages!!

Ahhhh grate cover !!! I am very happy

Perfection! The ninetees supermodels together on a cover! Perfect group.

Lovely quintet. I like the colors of the cover and the group pose (2 in the top row, 3 in the bottom row). I only wish they would have left Linda with her natural hair instead of putting her in a wig. Nadja looks fantastic btw.

^ Maybe they got lazy with Linda's hair, which is naturally wavy/curly, and they didn't want to bother with straightening it to make it conform with the other girls.

And Matt Cyrus, you're so right about that cover!  I never even noticed that Vogue Japan uses white backgrounds consistently!

^OMG LikeAFineWine, I was going to make that exact same picture my new avatar, but you beat me to it.

Like her and Stephanie's VJ pics the best. Linda's presence in photos is incomparable.

on the new models.com Legends list (totally describes her status perfectly)

As the record holder for most Vogue Italia covers, Evangelista holds a special place with fashion's creatives - serving as the conduit for their most adventurous ideas and bring them to life with grace. As Steven Meisel and Azzedine Alaia’s frequent collaborator and the face of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s ‘Model as Muse’ exhibit, Evangelista has personified the idea of model muse for more than two decades.

^That link is wrong, that's not Linda's segment.

What they said about Linda is actually more of a slight than a compliment. Linda's had such a legendary incomparable career, and yet THAT'S the best description of Linda that they could come up with? Linda is more than just "a muse".

And it's actually Stephanie who's a frequent collaborator with Alaia, not Linda.
