Shana did appear as Shana Phipps in PB, May 1997, along with other supermodels. Here's a polaroid and an outtake from that shoot. And two better sized images of the feature, one of them opposite Cindy Crawford from the same issue.

I've got that magazine, Debonair India November 1992. Shana is not inside at all. The two on the horse were definitely featured in the SI diary. I have five pages of her from it.
