If you literally mean 'thanks' and that is all then yes I'd say that is fairly limited in the usefulness department...but I do think a thank you and comments on particular pictures are important...especially to those posting the pics

I meant those who only post to say thanks . Of course thanking is important; it's a way of encouraging people to share and it's a way to show respect; but it pisses me off when people don' post pictures or share comments (on articles, posted pictures, films....... whatever !!)
