pieper
After some month of leeching in this fabulous Laetitia thread I want to say 'Hello' and a big 'Thank you' to all the members putting pictures of this Godess here. I have some stacks of magazines with pictures of Laetita near to my desktop and think about spending some time in scanning and putting them online here too. Some years ago I made my first Laetita HQ-Scans and put them onto another fan site. So I know it is not easy to get best results from the magazin printouts. After several scan and Photoshop attempts I found some tips which helped me to enhance the quality of my scans. As I saw a lot of scans here too with bad moirees or show throughs I thought it might be an idea to give you the two most important hints to improve the scan results. Maybe it will help you to get better results too: 1. When scanning a newspaper or magazine picture, simply put a piece of black paper or card directly behind the whole image being scanned. This reduces the amount of "show through" of the image or text on the other side of the page. 2. To avoid moirees scan at a higher resolution (e.g. 300 or 400 DPI), use the descreen filter on your scanner software or blur the picture with Photoshop, PaintShop or similar software, resize the picture to 50 % or 33 % and finally sharpen it with unsharp mask in your photo software. A little bit more information about magazin scanning can be found here: scantips.com/basics06.html It is an old page but the information is still actual. Again thanks for all the tons of Laetita pictures... Heiko

frenchkiki
wELCOME pIEPER!! Thank u for the scanning tips! I sometimes have problems with the little dots on the pics... But when you click on the pic to enlarge it, it's perfectly clear (no more moires or dots) So is it really a problem since the pic is fine bigger? Anyway, all the Laetitia fans are going to wait for you scan IMPATIENTLY!!
