I think the Vogue editorial with the little girls is different. At first they just wanted to do a shoot with girls dressing like mom, wearing make-up and high heels. They wanted to talk about how young is too young to wear make-up and such for kids? But it came out all wrong. The kids were over sexualized and I don't even know why Vogue published the pictures? (bad publicity is still publicity for them I guess?) <_<

That photoshoot was the last nail to Carine Roitfeld's coffin (as the editor in chief for Vogue Paris). I really don't understand people who kept defending those photos saying it's "little girls dressing up". Really? 10-year-olds can make perfect make up and hair and strike particular poses? Uhmm it didn't look like an innocent game of girls being all clumsy when trying on mum's shoes and wearing her long dresses etc.

Anyway, I have a serious question for Americans here about kids' pageant. Aren't these things regularly protested nowadays? I mean, I guess kids beauty pageants bring lots of money each year so it would be difficult to ban them but :idk:

in alot of places, yes they are. but still plenty out there that feel it is ok to dress your kid up like a street walker and parade them around like trophies to be won.

Since the JonBenet Ramsey tragedy yes. Pageants have been in a negative spotlight for many years now. Even though there are so many who would like these pageants to disappear, I doubt they ever will. As long as parents keep bringing their children to them, they will remain.

:o ...Talk about a downer :x , I clicked on thinking it was going to be like lingerie of the future or something :/ .

There is definitely a big difference between pagents and selling a product. Selling a product intends to extend to the average person, not just one demographic. Of course Toddlers and Tiaras is definitely the worst American show of all time. Adult pagents are bad enough, but to put children in it is awful. One of the mothers also got her daughter taken away for injecting botox into the girl's face and making a video about it and they do make little girl sized thongs over here now :x . Of course even in light of that, kids in lingerie was something I never thought I'd see in a million years, but hopefully someone puts a stop to legalized child exploitation of all kinds all over the world and I'll do whatever I can to play a part in making that happen.

the answer of the company about the "scandal"

ENGLISH VERSION

First of all, I am very surprised by the lively debate that touches my brand and I am completely open to answer all your questions.

I would also like to point out that my brand has nothing to do with the pictures published in Vogue’s daughter Veronika Loubry. The mix was done in the press is totally wrong.

History / Mission of my brand: Days after Moon was born from the observation that between underwear very uncomfortable in 100% cotton and other hyper sexy brands distributed by women, there was no alternative for children, that is not underwear created with material comfort.

Because of my expertise I worked for 15 years for major global brands for women, men and children too, especially in the area of men’s underwear for which I have invented products that have these gentlemen to find underwear finally comfortable with the use of new materials technology, I just wanted to offer children underwear soft and comfortable to wear and support the girls aged 14 to 20 to sub more sober garments that match their age and who are not from registered women often vulgar.

The materials of my products are used in their underwear because they are highly qualitative: cottons including value-added elasticity, of viscose soft and easy to maintain microfiber wrongly untapped sector of the child. There is no vulgar connotation: the material is totally opaque, no transparency, no lace, no satin, no shiny silk.

The style is borrowed from children’s fashion with grosgrain knots, rubber bands fantasies, spikes and points “casserole” and the fabrics are jersey, rib 1×1 or Richelieu as those used in the child.

The grounds, large all-over stripes or placed in or aspects croquets China are inspired by the world of the child and marine themes often repeated in ready-to-wear.

The “worn below under” controversy which is just another way of saying that for example, the tops can be worn either under a sweater to keep warm in winter or summer with jeans or that the bodysuits for Baby can be worn like real pieces of it as do all mothers with their newborns when it’s hot.

The only two triangles in the collection-are used in a bathing suit for smaller maintenance and first for girls and even by young women who do not seek to maintain since the jackets do I offer no support .

There is in my collection no bra, no corset and no G-string.

The line consists mainly panties, shorts, vests and the bodysuits for the babies. Nothing more classic in underwear.

The appearance of “transgenerational daughter / mother” my brand is not new and is identical to that taken by many brands of ready-to-wear.

About the term “Loungerie” the word coined by large firms and international style echoed by many brands and many fashion items simply means that my products are mostly opaque parts Loungewear inspired and created with materials from research in the field of lingerie. I recall that in France, the word refers to the linen industry as a whole underwear for women, including men and children. This term alone does not induce sexy concept.

As for the pictures of my brand, I would first like to clarify that in the articles as they are published, they are taken out of context and were given to induce a page size that is not sexy to origin.

All pictures show children playing children’s games as we all did. If you look in detail, you will find many of them small pieces of children’s games: farm animals, dinette, doll accessories, cake timber …

There is no second reading to have no vulgar connotation, the postures are not biased.

There is only one interpretation: that of children playing together at all.

Children do not wear heels, or nail polish or lipstick. Hairstyles are exaggerated as are the games and the world of children.

Yes the models are wearing sunglasses like all children, so we sometimes see the belly or legs as on the beaches, so they also wear necklaces at home at home as do all the little girls to have fun. ..

Finally the models are professional models and not the sharpness of Lolitas who held a woman.

The staging is nothing special, she is featured regularly in many brands of magazines in their series mode.

We often see such stagings of children around themes such as “cowboy and Indians”, does it make of these children for future criminals? It is time to put things in their place and to address serious problems such as displays of pornographic magazines on the newsstands exposed daily in front of our children …!

Extremely dubious interpretations made in the press were born because of the controversy surrounding pictures of the girl Veronika Loubry and from journalists who sought the material and photos to continue to feed their articles on the subject.

My brand has existed for over two years, my company is very serious, I recognized in the middle of the lingerie, I am active in several trade shows areas of lingerie and children’s fashion and retail outlets in all is reputable and known worldwide. At no time did Moons Days after being criticized either by the fashion professionals or by the exhibition organizers, nor from my customers or distributors and from my loyal customers who trust me and whom I thank. Let alone the press that it is serious business and consumer and French international has always welcomed Days after Moons with a big smile.

Finally, after days Moons is definitely not the United States or distributed, or the UK!

I had a look on their web site and so far I've seen only 2 pictures that could be a bit "too much" for kids underwear. But when u look at the web site (in it's context so!) i see nothing outrageous.

And Joe: No there is no difference between a pageant and selling a product to me. In one, parents are promoting their child in the other, children are promoting a produce.
