May 22, 200519 yr Author Their site is a little flakey. The first time I went there, I couldn't find Ana either, then I closed it out and opened it again, and her page shows up. And it doesn't seem to be working today
May 27, 200519 yr It rarely works.Okay, guys, I have a serious question for you. I'm running a little low on money, and I'm thinking of selling off some of my clippings. I -believe- the ones that would make me the most would be my Ana collection. If I were to put it up for auction (not saying I'm going to) how much would you guys be willing to pay for it? It's everything on my scan site and a lot more. And be honest. Seriously. I want to know where to start the bidding. I... really need the money. heh.
May 27, 200519 yr Author Hmmm.... Personally, I would pay a lot for these editorials below, I will definitely bid if you put an auction up including these below :| Coincidently, these are probably the ones, that will get the people bidding on the auction. I'm not sure what you have unscanned, but these are the most difficult ones to get that you do have scanned on your site. The Vogue(on the bed) and Vogue Homem with James, I have never seen up for auction ever. So it's a good bet people will bid just to get those. How much they will be willing to pay is another question. I think the more rare clippings you have the higher people will be willing to bid. So Victoria's Secret things won't bring in the bids I would think, as they are so abundant. I would start it low, but not too low maybe $30 maybe even less, they can jump in price pretty quick, so a low starting price isn't necessarily a bad thing. Place it too high, and noone will bid at all. If it's near the end of the auction and it isn't going for the amount of money you want, you could always put a reserve on it so that it won't sell until someone crosses that price. But reserves can make people think twice about bidding. Back-up is have someone waiting to bid a retarded amount of money on it, out bidding the high bidder, then you can keep your clippings and try again another time, without selling at such a low price. Only problem with that is final auction fee's and listing fee's. Alot of it depends on timing I guess. Remember that big 200 + clippings auction that went for over $100? Same guy sold one last year that had way more rare clips in it, only went for $45. So go figure. Well that's my 2 cents.
May 27, 200519 yr Ana is also listed at 40'' models agency, the one that belongs to Sergio Mattos, I think it's her agency in Rio de Janeiro.http://www.40grausmodels.comshe's listed in the special cast

Or somewhere in between. Because, as Capt said, people will pay a lot of money for the rare clippings. The more common ones you could probably sell for half of what you start the rare ones at.
May 28, 200519 yr What if I divided the rare ones up? Put them in lots with the not so rare?I understand this may ot benefit an individual buyer, but could it help me?
May 28, 200519 yr Author I think if you split up the rare clippings and interspersed them with the not so rare ones, you could probably make a good amount that way too. I don't know if it would be equal to what you would get for the whole lot together or not though. But you never know. Usually it seems though, the higher the amount of clippings the more hits the pages get.Never know what exactly people will have and not have already, so the rare clippings might just be a plus on top of a bunch of not so rare ones that they don't have yet. So some people might even be bidding to get the collections as a whole, not just the rare ones.Hmmm... Been awake for way to long......Entire lot at once will get you a sizeable chunk of money at one time where as if you put up smaller auctions with less clippings, the money probably won't come in as quick (unless you were to put all of the smaller lots up at once or something)
May 28, 200519 yr huh. that's something to consider too. Didn't think of that.On the plus side, got that french marie claire. And the Intimissimi catalog is on its way...
