FInally started with the show. First I struggled a bit but now I really like it.

Well, I finished watching The Penguin and damn, it was excellent. What I loved the most was that the villain protagonist is portrayed as a real villain, not an antihero. He has no redeeming qualities, even his caring for mother has a selfish and perverted nature. Oz Cobb is a vile, slippery, ruthless and manipulative piece of sh*t that is damn interesting to watch. I also think he is a perfect product of his environment. In this Gotham, you have to be like Oz to survive. Colin Farrell deserves an Emmy, Globe, SAG and other awards that are given for television💯

To be honest, I didn't find the "shocking" twist of the finale so shocking. Although it was really unexpected and painful.

‼️SPOILER ALERT ‼️

Spoiler

All the people except his own mother were just pawns in Oz's game. And it was clear from the very beginning that Vic was no exception. Vic hasn't seen Oz's "real face" yet and it would be a matter of time before he realized that Oz is no better than Falcones, Maronis and the likes of them. Or such a lifestyle would corrupt Vic so much that he would decide to "overthrow" Oz. But yes, I still felt sorry for the guy, as well as for Sofia. But most of all, I felt sorry for Francis Cobb. She spent her whole life in shit, only to become a prisoner in her own body. Truly the worst fate.

There is speculation among batman fans that "Court of Owls" universe is likely to be adapted by Reeves.  I don't have a clue if that's the case but it would fit the style.

Sapkowski revealed in a press conference that the new Witcher book focuses on Geralt's early years as a witcher and will come out in Poland on Dec 1 2024, which is quite soon.  Can't wait.  I wonder if they will adapt it into new series and games in the future.

Pretty sure the main issue is that he made a 200 million dollar movie that made just 206 million dollars at the global box office.

Meaning that WB probably lost 200-300 million dollars on this movie.

So even if he went to them with a treatment for a third film, the reaction would be get-out-leave.gif

Every year I say this is the last year I do Thanksgiving. Fingers crossed this is my last one because I'm beyond over it.

Pretty sure he made that comment before the movie bombed but yeah now with those low numbers no one would finance a 3rd installment I agree.

Huh?

James Gunn Denies ‘The Batman' Sequel Has Been Canceled

What exactly is going on with Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” sequel? There’s been so many delays on this one that some are starting to wonder if there might be friction between Reeves and DCU boss James Gunn.

In recent weeks, there’s even been talk of the possible cancellation of Reeves’ sequel, so much so that DC Studios chief James Gunn has now had to tackle the rumors. Yesterday, Gunn responded to the rumors on Threads, saying:

If it was canceled it would be canceled. Who has time for charades? I’ve been one of Matt’s biggest cheerleaders for years – since Cloverfield and the Apes’ movies. We are eagerly awaiting his script.

Reeves has still not submitted the script to Gunn and Warner Bros. It doesn’t help that Gunn is working on his own Batman movie (“The Brave and the Bold”) which currently has Andy Muschietti attached to direct.

A recent blurb from THR cast further doubt on “The Batman: Part II,” which originally set up a mid-2025 production start. Here’s what was implied …

Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson were hoping to return to ‘The Batman: Part II’ and there was hope that it could shoot sometime next year. Those hopes remain in place but nothing is close to being planned.

Just a few days ago, when questioned about the script, and Reeves’ claim that it was nearing completion, Gunn replied, “I think that report was well-intentioned but it was mistaken. We are very much looking forward to it.”

For now, “The Batman: Part II” is still on track for an October 2026 release. The film was originally supposed to shoot in late 2023, then 2024, and now it’s “sometime in 2025.”
