I don't know, they both have insane social media accounts.

It looks like the Trump team has thrown out the towel for being the "Peace president", "end the war in 24 hrs I know Putin very well, I get along very well and know exactly what to say to him" lie. Ukraine war peace discussions have apparently broken down and Trump is continuing Biden's policies.

So far Trump has betrayed a couple of things: 1. ending the war in Ukraine 2. not starting any new wars 3. releasing the Epstein files..

I don’t know about Donald, but I’m pretty sure Elmo runs his own accounts. He’s got some parody accounts too, so hard to tell with those.

He already delivered the big win, tax cuts for the wealthy so mission accomplished. Now that he can’t run again or be held accountable for what he does in office, it’s back to golfing.

His top priority at this point? Getting that Nobel Peace Prize, just because Obama has one and he can’t stand it.

And let’s not forget the economy most companies aren’t absorbing the tariffs, it’s the consumer getting taxed.

Republicans believe in the "supply side economics" multi-decade garbage (tax cuts for the rich will stimulate the economy and trickle down to the poor idiocy, even people living in trailers and apartments believe this) so they don't have a problem with that.

The tariffs' long term goal appears to degrade the US's suitability for foreign investors/corporations and global trade.

Ultimately what happens years after Trump (as a result of his behavior) could be more impactful than what he did in it.

The Donald administration could definitely use this to at least partly flip the narrative. Something like "Just say that Donald was never near the island and we’ll reduce your sentence".

Long term goal? Sounds like a economical suicide.

I haven't been active here lately. I don't feel the kind of connection to other people online I used to feel 20 years ago. Social media changed everything and as a hater of social media I have been "struggling" for the last 15 years or so social media has been a thing. I simply hate what the World has become.

I even struggled to sign in here. Instead of user name, I was asked my email address. It took a while for me to figure out which email address I have given here. In the end I figured that out by trial and error, but I was nervous about losing access to my account here.

Some 5 years ago or so I wanted an answer as to why my life is what it is. I got into personality types (which I considered total BS before) and found out interesting things. This led me to diagnose myself to have mild high-functioning autism (Asperger's) which explains pretty much everything I have experienced in my life (54 years old).

I try to do things that are positive to my mental health such as making music. That is quite therapeutic. About 8 years ago I started to learn music theory and it has been an interesting journey.

As a Goddess worshipper I worship the sexiest and most beautiful women in the World, but most celebrities of today don't do much for me. I also hate the tattoo culture. 20 years ago tattoos were not a thing (tattoos were rare). Social media has changed what kind of pictures are posted online. Instead of glamorous photoshoots by skilful photographers, we have casual photos taken by photos in whatever spa resort.

The World I'd like to live on is fading away and being replaced a World I don't like nearly as much. That's why I am living in the past. Nostalgia is important for me. I am exploring 80's synth-pop, music from the good old World I didn't appreciate enough when I was living and experiencing it. I didn't know future will suck. There are good new things in the World today, but the bad outweighs the good.

So that's what I am thinking about...

The US has been steadily committing economic suicide since the 1980s- whatever increases in the economy did not flow down to ordinary people but into parasitic industries, the ultra rich and the government.

The US, unlike most countries in the world is potentially self-sufficient (like Russia). It mostly that way during the Cold War. This is what MAGA wants..

Turning things around requires bipartisan thorough economic reform aimed at spreading wealth to all and rebuilding the country’s economic independence. As long as the two sides keep fighting, things will only get worse.

I am TOTALLY fed up with politics. I used to debate political issues online for years and years, but that is over for me.

For some reason people are voting for the least competent and suitable people to have political power, often against their own best, and the result is that politics has become total lunacy. Things are not about difference in opinions, that have reason behind them. I am out. Politics isn't any different anymore from debating whether the Earth is flat or not. The amount of people who know better to vote for competent suitable people is too small to make any difference. Maybe it is social media? Maybe it is the dumbing down culture? Maybe it is both. People who are very skilled and clever in their jobs become suddenly total morons when it is time to vote. The purpose of mainstream media and a lot of social media influencers is to keep people as dumb and misinformed as possible.

I personally think it's impossible, both parties are corrupt frauds. Like I said before I think that the US is in the 'final stage' of civilization. The common people can only suffer through it and try to find our own way out.

Maybe this generation is the one that can actually turn things around. I don’t think it’s too late, we just need new rising stars in both parties (real Republicans, not MAGAs) with fresh ideas and common goal.

I get how exhausting debating politics can be. But even when we don’t agree, it’s important to keep talking and try to find some common ground. It’s better than just shutting down and losing the connection completely.

Gotta love how the MAGA trolls work. Someone sends them a new talking point(s) and they all start to spam it.

Trying to buy Elmo back Amelie_wft

Sharing sensitive military/state secrets with an AI, especially a third-party system, sounds a lot like something Hegseth would come up with.

“Hey Grok, can you bomb Natanz for me?”

“Of course! Shall I repeat the wildly ineffective fireworks show that killed no centrifuges but did wonders for Iran’s uranium motivation?”

It is not just debating I am fed up with. It is politics altogether. Politics is not anymore about "How to make society function better for everyone." Now it is about "for who should things be good and for who should things be bad." Politics is now about dividing people into different kind of groups and making those groups unequal. I am a "Society should be good for everyone" kind of person and all the politics of today feels so wrong to me.

I guess we need total intellectual bankruptcy and collapse of society for people to wake up. We can only pray we survive it...
