Medvedev’s opened another bottle of vodka again? There seems to be widespread doubts about the Trump regime's (lol) boasting claims of a 'staggering success' and dubious claims that they are 'winning'. The strike may have done far less damage than they claim. The Iranians have an embarrassingly weak air force. In exchange for helping Russia with drone factories and drone deliveries (and millions of rounds of artillery ammunition), Russia promised to deliver them SU-35 aircraft. They seem to have invested more on patrol boats (equipped with drones and missile launchers) and overall have been really interested in drones, missiles, and AA systems and underground storage facilities for years. They have been anticipating Western/Israeli aggression for a very long time.Their drone arsenal looks similar to the US and China's and before 2022 was better than Russia's. (the Russians to their extreme detriment neglected drone tech and focused more on other arms pre-2022).Their missile and AA systems look like they are influenced by older Russian equipment (S-300, Buk etc) as they have purchased/traded such gear with the Russians.China also sold them considerable materials to produce missiles before this conflict and is likely to continue trading with them just like they have with Russia.
June 23Jun 23 Early reports are that it's all theatrical as Iran gave Qatar warning and they told the US as the base was already evacuated.

But certainly in the interests of Russia & China they could see Iran as their proxy to further weaken the United States.

It's certainly less money that a former POTUS gave to Iran which put us in this position in the first place, that's for another time.
