The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP

Featured Replies

1 hour of JD Vance:

- talked about how suddenly becoming the VP candidate effected his family's life

-then it quickly went into a rant about transgender degeneracy being normalized among American upper-middle classes and how important being flamboyantly LGBTQ+ is a career asset for social climbers.   He even went to say that people, especially degenerate celebrities even want their children to be LGBTQ to further their social status.

I watch this being not fully convinced; I am around the same age as JD and saw how leftist virtue signally was important to advance in the academic, gov't, & corporate world but I doubt that it is as critical & insane as he claims for the majority of people who are mired in those hellish worlds.  It has always seen to be a side hustle to me that would matter only if the decision makers/culture of the place had a fetish for this sort of thing.

-JD is quite old looking for his age, not surprising as his life must have been very high stress.

Joe Rogan has changed since I last saw him on youtube.  On spotify he is way more outspoken and even talks over his guest.  It was surprising to see him talk over Trump.

On his comments about Kamala not coming on the show-Joe talked about how he didn't like being seen as a 'right winger'.

it is interesting how he portrays himself as neither left nor right but all of the comments he says are views typical of the modern right- and shared by Trump supporters.  He is way more right wing than me.  Joe should just stand up for what he believes and not classify himself as outside of the right.  I think a lot of the basic views they have are correct anyway, and outnumber their wrong beliefs.

Finished the first 2 hrs of the JD vance interview.

Not impressed at all and I think less of him now.  JD has a chance to say something profound about MAGA wants to do or something profound about american politics but instead he spends the time complaining about the Democrats & WOKE.  Transgender, upper-middle class american degeneration, degenerate elites, corrupt pharm industry,  govt' and corporate corruption, etc.  He wasted people's time by rambling about these things, which half of the country already knows about-  with Joe.

Joe has become completely corrupted by his MAGA friends.  I can't consider his show to be non-political and objective as he claims; he has too many friends in high places and he is eager to please them, including the richest man in the world Elon Musk.  All of his political commentary in these two episodes are the same that all libertarians in America would say.

Finished the final 1:20 of the interview-  really very pedestrian and predictable republican content from JD & Joe.  Only at crunch time- last 7 minutes or so does JD go into foreign policy.

Overall this interview wasn't very interesting and neither was JD.  Joe Rogan wasted way too much time going on rants, steering the conversation into topics that he is interested in, and not asking JD interesting questions.

Looks like Trump is going to win.

The Democrats need massive ideological reform after this election no matter what.

They have to find a way to tone down the obsession with race, gender and sex as it is repulsive to minorities too at the current level.

Also win back the white working class which they largely abandoned in the 1990s.

If one party controls the oval office, senate and the house there will be very dark times ahead. The democracy is basically going to be dead.

I understand that americans were looking for a change, but working and middle classes are not gonna love what happens next.

America was always far more of a kleptocracy than a 'democracy' in my lifetime.  The democrats claiming that they are a 'democracy' have always been lying to the American people.  The key beneficiaries of Trump's victory will be the billionaires and corporate interest groups that funded Trump's campaign (agriculture, auto, oil & gas, Elon Musk, any industry that Trump places tarriffs, etc) and the bottom 99% peons will get the scraps like lower gas prices and cheaper fast food..

The bottom 99% of the population always loses, every year.  This is why living standards (psychological + material) has either stagnated or massively declined in my lifetime and American economic & military power has massively shrank relative to the rest of the world.  It was better to be born a boomer/gen x than a millennial or gen z-er.  My parents' generation had a much better life than the young people today.  Far better.

Trump's first moves will probably:

1. purge the federal gov't, get revenge for the obstruction placed against him in term 1.  He is also in a much stronger position with the Republican party backing him and his cabinet than his first term.

2. support Israel and open peace talks between Russia & Ukraine.  The disturbing thing is that the Russians do not appear interested in ending the war recently.

If Trump is killed or completes his second term the Republican party will need to find another replacement for him. That will be very difficult as so few have his personality.

The Democrat party will likely shift back towards the center, purely for survival -as it was in the early- mid 2000s.

Its crazy to see how Harris lost so many of the Latino & Asian vote.  She only got the black vote in the bag, and lost ground with whites.
