Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie: Invictus Invincible

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie take their son Maddox, 8, to support their friends at the premiere of their new movie, Invictus, at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Theater on Thursday (December 3) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Clint Eastwood directed the flick (he directed Angelina in 2008′s Changeling). Both Brad and Angelina worked with Morgan Freeman (Brad and Morgan in 1995’s Seven, and Angelina and Morgan in 2008’s Wanted). Matt Damon also stars in the film (Brad and Matt co-starred in the Ocean’s franchise together).

The movie’s premise: Nelson Mandela (Freeman), in his first term as the South African President, initiates a unique venture to unite the apartheid-torn land: enlist the national rugby team on a mission to win the 1995 Rugby World Cup.

So happy to see Mad with them, going to a big premiere. By the time he's a teenager, he'll be a natural. I think the confidence boost will be great, whether he goes in to show biz, or maintains a more private lifestyle.

Still want to rip that roadkill off of Brad's face though. Ewww. :yuckky: I just can't imagine Angie finding that attractive. Although, she has been in to old dudes in the past, so maybe.

Angelina Jolie Counsels Obama on Human Rights

In honor of Human Rights Day 2009, Angelina Jolie has put her beliefs to paper and penned an op-ed piece for Newsweek, guiding President Obama's administration on its intention to "improve the lives of the people of Darfur."

"I would like to know what that means, besides the obvious point that their lives could hardly get worse," Jolie, 34 and a United Nations goodwill ambassador, writes in her role as co-chair of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

"In Sudan," she advises, "the administration should explore ways to bring al-Bashir to justice, even as it encourages stability in Darfur. This means bringing all permanent members of the U.N. Security Council on board to send the message that the international community will not tolerate mass atrocities."

She adds, "I also hope we will act sooner and more powerfully to prevent future atrocities," and suggests a Council on Foreign Relations report funded by the Jolie-Pitt Foundation that "offers recommendations to improve the U.N. Security Council's responsiveness by discouraging vetoes in cases of mass atrocities, while urging the United States to make clear its willingness to act on its own if necessary."
