gab6565
Her career is a mess. She really needs to fire her management. She really missed a huge opportunity by not getting cast for the VSFS. It's not just about walking the show itself; it's also the press that comes with it. Interviews, BS shots, getting name dropped every time the show is discussed on news channels, etc. Barbara needs to get her career back on track and work for high profile clients. If she keeps it up her career will end up in the gutter by the spring of next year. When you close your eyes and imagine her career, what even comes to mind?! For me it's just parties and D-list asian clients (who probs pay well, but she is losing her prestige)
evilpalvin
She's already in the catalog and her face is on everything on VS.. i really don't think her carrer is like HORRIBLE MESS, i just think she can do better, but these things happen on a model carrer sometimes. I mean the ups and downs of life.
champagnebrulee
Her relationship with VS is tenuous at best, and if that is the only positive thing happening with her career right now, then I think she probably needs to step back and reevaluate.Maybe she's moving into singing or acting or something, but there's not a chance in hell that she will actually break out in those industries. Models trying to act/sing are a dime a dozen, and if you're not Diane Kruger it's not going to happen. I mean, maybe she's ready to move on from modeling, but she should at least make a clean break and dedicate herself to it rather than book D-list jobs while her wig gets snatched by Sara Sampaio LOL. I also have a feeling that L'Oreal will not renew her contract when it comes time (next year?), and that will not leave her in the best position. But I think more of the issue is the lack of work combined with the fact that she seems to only be drinking, hanging out with friends, and partying rather than doing anything career based, especially in the second half of this year. Half the reason why there are so many arguments on this thread in the first place is because there are no new pictures to show except for her at a club or tweeting random boy bands--see how people try to change the subject from the Niall thing and there's literally nothing else to talk about? Frankly, as a 20-year-old model, you can't just go home and hang out with your friends for 3 months. There is always a newbie ready to out hustle you, and she was in a fantastic position in the industry before she made some poor decisions.I hope she and her agent are at least re-evaluating now that she has gotten passed up by VS for the show, all the swim shots, and the Valentine's Day campaign. They are pretty much her last major client and she seemed to be on her way to Angel-dom this time a year ago.TL;DR go to work Barbara! Zachman57
I dunno what is it with people saying that she isn't working. I think it is an overstatement. She is working, just isn't getting the best work of all time. Personally, I think you are forgetting, there is more to talk about. She is supposed to come to Australia for work for one. Two, Asia is a growing powerhouse in this line of work. Don't forget, they produce a higher consumer rate as well as producing consistent work for people like Barbara who need to keep themselves working and busy. If we say that Asia is bad for Barbara in the sense she isn't working there, then what are we smoking? I don't know if she was in a fantastic position in the industry. For a 20 year old model who let's be honest probably is aware of her height and that she is not a traditional model can see things from a negative point of view. Does it mean she should just give up? No, but she is young and needs time to know how to use her strengths to get her further to where she wants to be.
Lyla
Her agents can be blamed for not booking her better jobs or not telling her to be a lil bit more professional! Barbara is just "living her dream"...nowadays it seems that it is to be some kind of Kardashian or I don't know exactly the right role model for her. Zachman57
Oh come on. She is not trying to be a Kardashian. I mean come on. Let us never use that example.

Grapevine
This is ridiculous. She probably knew what she was doing when she posted that tweet, okay, but she tweets everytime she's out with a friend, famous or not. She's friends with a bunch of actors and singers and she's having fun. She's not being 'pathetic' or seeking more attention than usual. She's not haughty and doesn't take people for granted- one interviewer said that she shook every single person's hands in the room, everyone says that she's lovely to work with. She's not a diva, she's not pretentious. She knows that she's had big accomplishments, she realises that people support her and she loves that people recognize how far she's come, how her work's 'paid off'. She also knows that her modeling career won't last forever, that there are bad sides to the industry. I don't claim to know Barbara, but from what I understand from her interviews, she seems to be the kind of girl who takes the jobs she'll have fun working on (Mambo). She wants to have fun. She seems to sort of live in the moment, which is why she sorts of envisions herself doing acting and singing in the future, because those are just paying hobbies to her. I think the problem with Barbara is that she's not 'serious' enough. She doesn't have a real objectif with this modeling career. I get the impression that she doesn't even try that hard anymore, that she sort of accepts jobs that are offered to her instead. I'm not saying she's lazy, she's perhaps more occupied doing other things, because modeling doesn't seem to be her main objectif and priority anymore. evilpalvin
Just want to make clear that Barbara doesn't have 12 years anymore, she has 20. And she knows exactly what she's doing. She knew this would happen and she knows the consequences. She's not dumb guys. If she talked with Niall and go to the movies with him, so what? When the JB thing appear she didn't know this so hard you know? but for now she knows! and she DON'T CARE! She just wan't to meet new people. She is friend of 5SOS too. She is increasing the bond with famous people these days. Cause when she broke up with Kristof was cause he CHEATED on her! She was too busy and he always in Hungary. When the media was chasing her with the JB rumor she was so scary to lose kristof, and YES she lost him. And cause of that she move to N.Y ): i think she just want to meet new friends, new people and new guys famous like her, cause they understand this. Now can we please please move on? Wow she is really nice. I am seriously impressed, one of the nicest girls I've seen in an interview. Especially seeing as how annoying these damn guys were, those questions were pissing me off and I don't even know her! Unbelievably nice and friendly, what an amazing girl.
