Django Unchained’: See the Teaser Poster for Quentin Tarantino’s Next Film

Quentin Tarantino‘s highly anticipated next film, ‘Django Unchained,’ is currently filming in New Orleans with a cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Kurt Russell and many more. We thought it would be way too early to see anything official from the film but today we have a first look at the film’s teaser poster.

Well, at least the Spanish teaser poster for the film. It’s unclear why Spain got the jump on the marketing materials (perhaps because Sony is releasing internationally and not The Weinstein Co. who are releasing in the United States), but the official Sony Pictures Espana Twitter feed released the poster this afternoon with the message, “At first for all our fans the new poster #DjangoDesencadenado. The latest film by Quentin Tarantino.”

The poster, which has similar imagery to a recent fanmade poster, features a striking silhouetted image of Jamie Foxx as Django and Christoph Waltz as Dr. King Shultz. The text at the bottom translates to “The New Movie From Quentin Tarantino.” The URL at the bottom currently redirects to Sony’s Spanish language site.

The film stars Foxx as Django, a slave who returns to free his love from an evil plantation owner (DiCaprio), with the help of a German bounty hunter (Waltz). Take a look at the ‘Django Unchained’ teaser poster below.

Django Unchained (Currently Shooting) Exec-Producer says “It’s gonna be awesome”

Well, filming is currently well underway for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained!

Besides casting notices, we haven’t said much else regarding its production process. There’s been a few on set pictures floating the web, but none which are particularly interesting. Tarantino has been busy, shooting in Jackson Hole Wyoming and New Orleans, working with the cast (Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio, Don Johnson, Christoph Waltz, Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony LaPaglia) and crew. Unchained, about a slave-turned-bounty hunter Django (Foxx) who sets out to rescue his wife Broomhilda (Washington) from an evil and brutal Mississippi plantation owner with the help of a mentor, is still gearing for a December 25th release date.

In an exclusive interview with SlashFilm, Django’s executive producer Michael Shamberg said the following when he was asked about finally seeing some footage from the film:

I’ve seen some stuff and it’s amazing. We’re still shooting and my partner Stacey [sher] is producing with Pilar Savone who worked for Quentin and Reggie Hudlin. I’m exec-producing and we’re like, maybe, half-way through. You have no idea. It’s the most amazing film cause, as you know, it’s a spaghetti western about slavery and Quentin’s vocabulary is such that it’s just pure entertainment, Leonardo’s the bad guy, it’s gonna be awesome.

There you have it folks! I’m sure this will be one the most, if not THE most, polarizing film this year AND next. Hopefully some footage will surface online soon.

Just now I could be able to see the vids Nanda posted and wow, rare stuff, never saw any of that. LOVE IT.

And it's nice on the vid of The Beach interview Leo talking about Howards Hughes, it's great he could do the movie and the role he wanted to play.

A rumour that stupid we missed it, but GossipCop denied it :p

CLAIM: Leonardo DiCaprio Gets Bloodied on Django Set, Blasts Quentin Tarantino

According to the National Enquirer, Leonardo DiCaprio was accidentally hit in the mouth by Jamie Foxx on the Django Unchained set, allegedly leading DiCaprio to scream profanities at director Quentin Tarantino about the staging of their fight scene.

The tabloid says Foxx busted DiCaprio’s lip while he was wearing vintage handcuffs.

“When cameras rolled, Jamie — playing a bounty hunter — swung his hands up violently, hitting Leo’s wrists and slamming the cuffs into his mouth,” reports a “spy” for the Enquirer.

According to the tab’s source, “Instantly, Leo started cursing out Quentin. He was furious because they’d had a fight earlier about how the fight scene should be filmed — but Leo lost, so they did it the director’s way.”

DiCaprio allegedly screamed, “I’ve done four Martin Scorsese films without a scratch — and then I work with YOU!”

This all sounds very intense… or like the Enquirer tapped its fertile imagination and DiCaprio’s IMDB page to fabricate some drama.

A source on the set tells Gossip Cop the story is “insane” and never happened.

That's the worst article about Leo I've ever read in my whole life...sometimes I cant believe I still find this kind of news...shame on! :yuckky:

Sorry for the translation girls...

This article is beyond ridiculous :yuckky:. This person who wrote lives in a cave? Never watched "Catch Me If You Can", "The Aviator," "Blood Diamond", "Shutter Island", "Revolutionary Road", "Inception" or many others? Plus, even insulted Martin Scorsese's career... WTF?! A piece of trash <_<.

Thanks Pami, Wijn, Kat, Princess and everyone for the articles .

NOW SERIOUSLY, LEO SHOULD SUE NATIONAL ENQUIRER FOR ALL THE RIDICULOUS STUFF THEY MADE UP THROUGHT THE YEARS.

I can't stand this tabloid anymore, it's unbelievable, should be someone there that hates Leo a lot to create stupid stuff about him about all the time.

Who knows it could be completely made up

..... or its based on somewhat true events and the tabloid just embellished it to make it sound "more juicy." I mean Its normal to have altercations/ disagreements with people. But Leo saying " I worked on 4 Scorsese films and then I work for you" now that I believe is pure bullshit lol. I think he has way more self control and respect for his peers and career to say something like that... and lets face it pretty much everyone who works with him say how easy he is to work with and what a nice guy etc.

But the national Enquirer is known for this they do this all the time to various celebs.

Ohhhh Gee the national inquerior. I agree with fash that some of these stories might be "based" off of something, but they just add made up details, and make the story sound newsworthy.

Glad gossip cop made the denial though :p

Thanks everyone :grouphug:

I think they've only written like two or so stories about him in the last little while :). One was the one about him smelling bad.... however when I read that story I thought hey that sounds very familar!!! Sure enough back in 2008 one of the tabloids wrote pretty much the same story about Orlando Bloom smelling bad and they also mention how Miranda Kerr wants him to clean up blah blah. Sounds exactly the same as the Erin/leo story  . The tabloids need to get more creative lol
