Yes , for sure missing the final 40 minutes of any film would make a big difference in one's impression of film.

I've been told there will be some press screenings this week, so before the week is out, we should have some more impressions of the film/acting to consider.

But it's a shame that 40 minutes of the movie can't be seen, I think this can make a big difference on the impression of peopl

From what I see in the Bondi pix, all the guys besides Jay, or just Leo's long time friends. As looking at the news pix, it appears his long time friend

Vincent Laresca is now over visiting him.

We've seen Jay with him at a Lakers' game, but, as others have said, you see Jay mostly on film sets or premieres with him.

Leonardo DiCaprio might ditch Shah Rukh Khan Mid-Day

Monday, October 17, 2011 (London)

Shah Rukh Khan may be doing everything to ensure that his upcoming film RA. One hits no roadblocks. But the same cannot be said for the movie that is being touted as the superstar's foray into Hollywood.

Earlier this year, it was reported that King Khan had hit jackpot by managing to rope in the legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese to co-produce his dream project, Xtrme City. But alas, the film already seems to be facing a major glitch.

Apart from Scorsese and SRK, Xtrme City was to include actor Leonardo Di Caprio, but now apparently, the makers are not able to zero in on a date for the Hollywood star.

Adds a source, "The script has been locked and right now they have been zeroing in on everyone's dates for the project.

SRK, Scorsese and even writer Paul Schrader's dates are pretty much in. The problem is Leonardo Di Caprio's dates haven't been decided upon."The actor is busy filming The Great Gatsby (which is incidentally Amitabh Bachchan's first Hollywood project) at this point and nothing really can be finalised unless his dates are confirmed.

For a film that boasts of such heavyweights, it's little surprise if delays are part and parcel of the process. It was during the Berlin film festival in February that SRK got a chance to meet the Oscar winning director and actor and discuss the project.

Interestingly, it is said that Scorsese's interest in Indian cinema was one of the main reasons he agreed to come on board for this film.

Adds the source, "Now, we all know that Scorsese and DiCaprio are thick as thieves and always work together. So it's very essential that he comes on board for this one as soon as possible."

So despite all the dilemmas, if this project does manage to take off, there's little doubt that it may become even bigger than SRK's superhero thriller!

Our IMDB poster , after some research I can confirm the guy is legit ; he was at Carmel screening

He truly is a big Eastwood fan , and that is why he was willing to travel to Carmel and pay $545.00 (yikes) to be in the select audience for the screening.

As he stated on IMDB , he didn't see all of the film, and even what they did see, the film had interruptions on and off before they stopped it. How awful !

I've read the script, and he told me what was the last scene they saw, and he is correct in saying they missed out on at least 40 minutes of film.

I asked him what he felt made Leo's performance Oscar worthy, but he hasn't answered back yet .

Also, I've noticed others have asked him as well on IMDB board about Leo's performance , so we should get some feedback to that question at some point :)

I asked him what he found to be a problem in the part he did see of the film, and his reply is stated below

I personally found the structure of the film confusing. The film is told in a series of flashbacks and goes back and forth between different periods of Hoover's life. I found the structure to be jarring, and for someone that was not familiar with Hoover's life, and the events told in the film, I didn't feel the film's events were placed in the proper context for the movie to flow and for people to understand the events of the film well.

Hmmmmm thats not good. Although saying its confusing isn't always bad (inception? :p )but that stinks he found it confusing. I guess that doesn't push aside the fact that he said Leo did an excellent job! Thanks Ox for asking!

And yeah fash, maybe he might want to be involved in producing the film?

As to his comments , it could be if he had SEEN all of the film, as well as , viewing the part he did see without 'stops and starts' , that by the end , what seemed confusing in beginning would have all come in to place.

Your example of Inception is a good one, as I think in the beginning of the film, some weren't sure what was happening , but as the film progressed you understood better how they were traveling down the different levels of a dream.

Plus sometimes a strong ending overcomes elements that you see in the beginning of the film.

No, he hasn't responded to Leo performance question yet.

But as I stated in my post, I noticed someone else made a post on the board asking him about Leo's performance

So , hopefully, he'll either respond to me or post his comments there for all to read :)

lol  ...

Even though Australia is still a longggg way from Ireland .. I was thinking since Kevin was out of the country he might have still stopped by to visit leo afterwards... but he's back in LA.

Anyways, Leo will be back in LA soon too.. so i'm sure there'll really be a "PARTY IN THE USA" when he does (PS that is one catchy song lol)

Fash

Thanks for Shah Rukh Khan article :

Leonardo DiCaprio is approached by six models festival in Australia

Less than a month after the end of the relationship with Blake Lively, Leonardo DiCaprio doesnt seem to be crying from loneliness. Recently, the actor was approached by six models at a party in Australia - which saves the film The Great Gatsby - demanding that he write down their phones according to The Sun.

The girls were aimed DiCaprio in the VIP area of a nightclub in Sydney and convinced him to record their numbers at once. According to a source of the newspaper, they were blond, tall and beautiful.

"When he and his friends want a company, he can call them for the Star Casino, where he is staying in a super hotel suite," said the source.
