Thanks Aomg. WB sure loves Leo and presumably vice versa... he seems to have worked with them the most in recent years. The Aviator, Blood Diamond, The Departed, Body of Lies, Inception, Edgar. Historically they are known for having more character driven films as opposed to say Universal (there are exceptions of course).... so I can see why Leo and WB work well together. And yes your right he's never attempted an English accent before in his films.

Though Alan sounds like an interesting man ... i'm not sure I want to see Leo in another biopic about a troubled man anytime soon to be honest.

Plus, in the world of 'give and take,' you'll note that Warners is one of the financial backers of most of his Appian Way projects

While , like you and others, I don't think Leo likes the constant harrassment by a certain segment of Aussie paps/gossips columnists, I think he is mature enough not to let a small group color his memory of his experiences and interactions with the Aussie people.

Leo is not a newcomer to intense scrutiny by paps/gossip columnists, and he has learned how to make the necessary adjustments ,so that they don't ultimately keep him from enjoying his life

As he has said himself on talk shows, there are too many other perks of fame /his position to let the negative side ( paps/gossip) get to him.

maybe I'm wrong but I think this will be one of the worst experience of filming that Leo will have

those Sydney reporters don't give him a break

Quentin Tarantino has cast yet another pop-culture icon of the ’70s and ’80s in what could be a career-reviving role: Miami Vice and Nash Bridges star Don Johnson has joined Tarantino’s slavery-era spaghetti Western Django Unchained as a villainous planation owner named Spencer Bennett, EW has confirmed. (Variety first reported the story.)

Along with rogues played by Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, and main baddie Leonardo DiCaprio, Bennett will face off against the eponymous slave-turned-bounty hunter (Jamie Foxx) and his German partner (Christoph Waltz) on Django’s quest to free his captive wife, a role not yet cast.

The film will begin shooting in January

When it comes to scripts, since there are so few good ones, everyone 'bids' for the rights to the good ones.

Leo knows he can't do all of these at once, but , once he's bought the 'rights' to these scripts, he knows no one else can act on it for a designated period of time which allows him the needed time to find the right director, tweak the script, cast the other parts,etc.

It's like buying the one and only candy bar in store that everyone else wants; Leo might not be in a position to 'nibble on it right away', but he knows , that at least he can prevent 'others' from nibbling on it to he has a chance to bring it to frutrition

Yes, one only need to check Google or Twitter to see that the news spread all over the world whenever Leo announces a new possible film project

Kind of random.. but by reading someone's tweet about Rose saying comback to Jack at the end of Titanic reminded me that on Monday for the first time I realized that she wasn't saying come back to Jack. She was saying it to the men on the boat looking for survivors that passed her by. I did most of my Titanic watching when I was younger, but I still can't believe it took me 13 years to realize that lol

In regards to the very end I was always took it to mean she died... since Jack said to her she wouldn't die that night but instead die an old lady warm in her bed. So I think it was Jim's way of showing Rose lived up to that promise thus "never let go" of that promise.
