September 13, 200519 yr wasn't Mark Gonzalez's work permit rejected? . . . you prob wouldn't be able to get him until he plays a fair few more internationals . . . It doesn't look like Joaquin will come damn I'm gullible <_< Barry, there were a few conditions which we didn't satisfy re: Mark Gonzalez. Not only did he need to play internaltionals, Chile needed to be in the top 70 of FIFAs rankings. He needed to be one of the highest paid players in the club as well, if he were to get a permit. We also needed to prove that at the price we're paying (option to buy

September 14, 200519 yr am chuffed about the Lyon-Real score . . . good night for British teams. 100% record so far.also, why did Liverpool not play Gerrard?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>They didn't need to?
September 14, 200519 yr apparently Gerrard was tired because of the amount of games he's played lately. Xabi and Sissoko played in Spain as well so they know what to expect so it wasn't that big a deal. And I did see Kaka's 2 goals! They were so good, but maybe not as good as Juninho's freekick, but still great. And thanks I've been looking for those goalsLovenkrands scored a nice one for Rangers as well
September 14, 200519 yr Liverpool could soon be the subject of a takeover by the Kraft family, who own American football team New England Patriots. (Mail)
September 15, 200519 yr Yeh heard about that one . Hope we don't become some club like Manure <_<It better not be true, I'm happy with the club the way it is at the moment. Wouldn't want it to go into serious debt like what Glazer did with the Mancs
September 15, 200519 yr last nights CL results:Arsenal 2-1 FC ThunBenfica 1-0 LilleClub Brugge 1-2 JuventusRapid Vienna 0-1 Bayern MunichSparta Prague 1-1 AjaxUdinese 3-0 PanathinaikosVillareal 0-0 Man Utd.Werder Bremen 0-2 Barcelona
September 15, 200519 yr I wasn't expecting Iaquinta to make such an impact. Damn Panathinakos!!! and go the yellow submarines! Arsenal were showing their qualities as a European powerhouse! Being the team they are, they might make it out of their group. Who knows. They're just as successful as the Italian army in Europe. No offence GOCHO Valencia should so be in the Champions' League this year...and Stuttgart
September 15, 200519 yr I agree with the Valencia part, but a CL spot should be earned. They didn't quaify, so they aren't in.
September 15, 200519 yr I agree with the Valencia part, but a CL spot should be earned. They didn't quaify, so they aren't in. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *cough* Liverpool *cough* and you know why Valencia failed right? (a) Rafa left (b) Ranieri came in In 2 games, it seems Flores is doing a good job! I can't believe Ranieri didn't use Aimar
September 16, 200519 yr Totally agree. Losing Rafa was a low blow to Valencia. The leaders of the club can congratulate themselves.Aimar is one of my favs, he is so clever and creative!
September 17, 200519 yr They have Keane and Heinze out which should be a good thing. Last season at Old Trafford, Gerrard looked like crap compared to Keane, and now with a bit of rest, he can help run Uniteds midfield ragged, especially since they'll only have 3 in the midfield now.Shame we don't have anyone on the right that can exploit Henize's absence, but Garcia or Pongolle can be used goodly there.I expect a draw but I'm hoping for a win. probably 0-0 if not 2-1.who's Barca playing this weekend?
September 17, 200519 yr Just remembered Horseface (van Nistelrooij) and Shrek (Rooney) are on form, scoring goals. Hopefully that'll come to an end though. DIE MANCS!
September 17, 200519 yr 0-0 sounds optimistic. ManU seems to be in a good form and they are the home team. What do you think of Van der Saar? I always liked him, and I'm happy to see him in a big club again. He is doing a terrific job!("Hopefully that'll come to an end though.")Atl
