I think it would be required by VS + Justin Bieber's team. They want to make sure it looks like the angels like him so he gets a bit of credit and it doesn't look like everyone thinks he's a joke. It's rather suspicious they just happen to go to the concert like one day after the show when the tickets probably went on sale when they didn't have any idea when the show was and knew they might have to miss it.
