Jelena won!!! That has got to be a good match.

Did you see any of it? I videoed it but the recording kinda screwed up halfway through. From the looks of it Venus is a shadow of herself in these big match situations.

Ana Ivanovic had an easy draw, as did Vaidisova.

Ana's draw has definitely been easy but she's also been playing well recently. Nicole had a potentially tricky match against Stosur but it ended up being quite easy. She's coming back from injury so I thought she might well lose early in Paris but she's doing okay. Personally I'd like to see her lose soon because I think she's evil!

Tipsarevic lost :( and so did Monfils.

Monfils vs Nalbandian was possibly the best match I've seen so far (apart from the start which I missed). It was full of drama and the crowd were really into it. Tipsarevic was unlucky to come up against Robredo who's been a quarter-finalist twice - it was very one-sided.

This guy writes some crazy stuff.

Anna C is also playing after Ana I.

Yes, but I don't know if I get coverage of Lenglen court tomorrow. I think BBC and Eurosport will show Chatrier. I can get a livestream of ESPN as well but they will probably show Chatrier too. I really want to watch Ana and Anna! :) Baghdatis and Djokovic are on there too and I wouldn't mind seeing those as I've not seen them play yet this tourny.

Nalbandian wins so many 5 set matches. Like if he loses the first 2 sets, there's like a 50% chance or more that he will come back and win the next 3. He's like a machine.

ESPN 2 is not showing any matches until Monday.

:( I just found this out. That's not so good. I've tried various livestream options but none work so I'm going to have to be content with the live scoreboard. <_<

Djokovic vs Patience was a superb match. I love it when a match goes to five sets like this and by the final sets both players are producing their best tennis. Can't believe Olivier Patience is ranked outside the top 100. He deserves to be higher.

In a great show of sportsmanship once Novak had won they hugged each other at the net and Novak said he thought Olivier had played better than him for most of the match and probably deserved to win.

So a lot of good matches coming up. I think Safina will give Serena more of a challenge than her previous 2 opponents. I can see both Anna and Ana making it to the quarters. Along with Vaidisova, Jankovic, Serena (though I would prefer Safina), Henin of course, Kuznetsova, and Sharapova. I think the women's quarters are pretty predictable. As for the men's that's a different story. I def. see Nadal and Federer making it to the the quarters but the rest of the men I'm not so sure.

For favorites to win the tournament, I actually see Serena first and then Henin and then Jankovic 3rd. Sharapova should be out in the next 2 rounds. I don't see her winning at all. She's just had probably the easiest draw so far. I see Nadal as the favorite although I think it will be Federer winning this year. Hopefully Rafa will get him back on grass haha. I see as a far 3rd favorite maybe Djokovic. Davydenko has no chance of beating Federer but he might be Nadal. Too bad he's not in his half of the draw.

This is how I hope it will be:

henin vs serena

jankovic vs vaidisova

ivanovic vs peer

chakvetadze vs sharapova

serena vs jankovic

ivanovic vs sharapova

jankovic vs ivanovic

I think Hewitt has a chance of taking Nadal out. Sorry I'm posting so much btw, I'm just so excited. It's finally getting really interesting. I couldn't have asked for a better women's draw.

For the men, this is probable:

federer vs volandri

nalbandian vs cañas or monaco :/

djokovic vs baghdatis

hewitt vs moya

federer vs cañas or monaco

djokovic vs hewitt

federer vs hewitt

federer

For the men, this is probable:

federer vs volandri

nalbandian vs cañas or monaco :/

djokovic vs baghdatis

hewitt vs moya

I can imagine a lot of these going with seeding to be honest. Robredo to beat Volandri. I think Davydenko might be steady enough to take out Nalbandian. Canas over Monaco.

Bottom half Andreev has had a good tournament and Marcos is getting back into form. I think Andreev might just get the better of him. Bjorkman is a surprise and I've not seen Moya play this tournament but he's had a couple of easy rounds so will probably win. As much as I want Lleyton to beat Rafa I think he'll test him but not manage to go all the way.
