To me its just not how I picture Green Day Songs. Where is the intensity and "punky"ness?

You're nuts, Ken! When was Green Day ever "intense"? And social and political criticism was one of the early principles of punk music, so if anything, they're closer to punk now than they ever were before!

Yea Warning and Dookie are much more intense in speed and rocking. Now they are more chords and deep.

Ya and I think that a lot of punkers today are characterized as being emo. :(

At their beginings they had slight punk influences.

you know that's just sad...emo ruling over all the other subgeneres of punk  I love emo, but it's just not the same thing :idk: from all "modern punk stuff"... I listen only to Anti-Flag

They are my favorites after AC/DC. Who knows what brings people of all diffrent types/eras of rock and roll to Green Day?

I would like to take back my old comments. I have been listening to all eras of Green Day and at least for right now I think they are all equally great!!!!
