You reckon???

Its probably true BUT you may just pay the US citizen fee instead of an international's.....

yeah its true about that, but the high cost of living is putting me off going anywhere now <_<

Yeah, the high cost of living is ridiculous in the UK. Everything is sp expensive :( Bleh, I am seriously worrying how I am going to manage my money when I am in Uni...

Your friend must be either very rich or she doesn't know how to convert the money into lovely HK dollars.

Want to compare?

A regular meal in HK is about $25

In the Uk?

4 pounds.

Current currency rate is roughly 14-15 dollars/pound

SO

4 x 15= 60 dollars for the cheapest meal in the UK

Not only that, the rising food prices are evident in the supermarket and its pissing everyone off in the UK :(

Nono.. She is not very rich but the course she studies in UK is kinda cheap,

there were only a few old British and her (she's young). I think it might due to

the popularity of the course. :/ and she bought the stuffs she wants in the downtown.

you're right... everything in UK is ridiculously expensive indeed

One think is better in HK is the free public toilet :p

@ Lyon: ahaha, I never liked public toilets anyway....

@Joe: they don't?? That really sucks :( Bleh, I thought that shops as good as A/X would have a catalog out or something. But did they have a big poster of Izabel there for you to drool over???

And thank you, I am really glad that most of my close friends all managed to get into their 1st choice universities!
