controversiaster Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Your friend must be either very rich or she doesn't know how to convert the money into lovely HK dollars. Want to compare? A regular meal in HK is about $25 In the Uk? 4 pounds. Current currency rate is roughly 14-15 dollars/pound SO 4 x 15= 60 dollars for the cheapest meal in the UK Not only that, the rising food prices are evident in the supermarket and its pissing everyone off in the UK Quote
Lyon Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Nono.. She is not very rich but the course she studies in UK is kinda cheap, there were only a few old British and her (she's young). I think it might due to the popularity of the course. and she bought the stuffs she wants in the downtown. you're right... everything in UK is ridiculously expensive indeed One think is better in HK is the free public toilet Quote
