The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
Ah, yeah, I've seen it. What Whoopi Goldberg said is absolutely stupid. That's what happens when people are dumbed down by lunatic theories like CRT. I don't think she should've been suspended, they should've just called her out. It's easy to show her (with historical proofs) that she don't understand anything about WW2 (like many people BTW...) And Gina shouldt have never been fired. She said nothing wrong. Anyway, once again it shows that the libtard privilege is real

That's horrible. Bezos is a real douche. I never buy anything from Amazon. I use la fnac for books, la redoute for furniture and usually ldlc for computer stuff. https://www.fnac.com/ https://www.laredoute.com/ https://www.ldlc.com/ And for other online purchases (clothing, watches, etc.) I usually buy them from the supplier.

What is Gina referring to?

(BTW, nuking a competitor using "moral" arguments is quite cowardly, but then again that's Jeff Bezos we're talking about... nothing surprises me coming from this crook)

You shouldn't. And BTW, you do what you want. You're also free to not get dragged in Amazon's commercial strategy to nuke a competitor (the Swedish Spotify). If the European Commission straightened its spine, it would intervene to protect Spotify against a Murican corporation that attempts to stab a European competitor in the back.

^ Looks good. Definitely a souls game (it's got everything). The graphics are fine (much better than DS3 though not next gen), but the sound design could be improved IMHO. Demon's Souls remake (made by bluepoint) had an awesome good sound design (swords/shields' sounds and limbs cracking, etc.)

^ I can't believe that some people are going to follow this obvious commercial manipulation

So, the multi-millionaire Neil Young did all this virtue signalling... to promote Amazon. That b*** Bezos. Once again, he screwed another company (the Swedish Spotify) by using fake virtues. Typical Big Tech strategy: back stabbing. Progressive, my a** BTW, Neil Young had a $150 M deal with Blackstone (you gonna have a real hard time convincing me that it's a leftist company, but then again leftism doesn't mean jack squat these days).

Yes, that's how the CDC defines it: for them, obesity means BMI > 30. And severe obestiy means BMI > 40. The data/map I posted are from the CDC. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databriefs/db360.htm Yes, it's worrying- The Political Correctness Haters' Club
Geralt is an awesome character. Way better that Bond. Geralt is a soldier (which is what most men aspire to be), but he's also a detective, magician, lover (and a guy who controls his emotions but at the same time embraces them) One of my favorite characters too. Possibly the best. I also like Luke Skywalker, Ezio Auditore and Bayek of Siwa. Arthur Morgan is really good too, but he's more of a tragic character (his story definitely fits the Greek tragedy). The music people chose to portray him definitely reflect that (like here) I never watched it. I might give it a try (but I have so many things to watch/do).- Sarah Stephens

Really? That's sad. CDPR was such a great company.- General gaming talk
Yeah, we'll see. I like the fact that you have samurai warriors in the game. It'd be good to have lots of ways to customize your character. In any case, I see that the hype around this game is important, we'll see if it was justified in the end!- The Political Correctness Haters' Club
https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2017/a0831-obesity-data-maps.html This is what the US Media should be talking non stop. It's interesting that the CDC chose the color green for "[20; 25%] obesity". 25% is enormous (and that's just the obesity rate, you also gotta consider the overweight people that are numerous). I don't want to "stigmatize" people (everybody should be treated with respect), but you gotta admit that this is a real issue.- The Political Correctness Haters' Club
I agree that questioning requires high standards, but I'm not sure there are more morons nowadays, it's just that the internet makes them visible. Also, most morons in their basements are harmless. What's more harmful is poorly sourced media (and that's most US mainstream media, sorry to tell you). Luckily, in France, we have better media (though not perfect), and above all more interesting scientists (they don't paint everything as black and white). If US media were trustworthy, they'd tell the population to lose weight (which is the most useful medical advice - with stopping cigarette and booze). I only listen to French scientists (and specifically immunologists and epidemiologists - other doctors are less relevant). They people are more nuanced than anything I see from North American media (sorry to criticize your country, but you gotta admit that it's become more and more Manichean )- The Political Correctness Haters' Club
TRT is crazy and the popularity of this treatment is very worrying. Just like the "weigh reduction" pills. People want an easy way to "cheat life". But they reality is simple: to get a reward (e.g. weight loss or better physique), people gotta work (eat less crap, do some exercice, etc.) Steroids have very detrimental effects in the short and long term.- The Political Correctness Haters' Club
There's a big difference. Bret says that Young is wrong (he doesn't want to censor him). Young says he wants to censor Rogan. You're a smart guy, I'm sure you see the difference. The thing is that this left/right narrative destroys nuance and it makes people want to attack those they perceive as "the others". Note that I mostly don't care about Rogan, you can criticize him if you want. I rarely watch his podcasts, except when I see scholars I appreciate, likee Jon Haidt (NYU professor, so not exactly a conspiracy theorist).- The Political Correctness Haters' Club
Oh, I get that (though I would add here's also contraception and its influence on the family structure) All this seems "relatively" understandable to me. What I really don't comprehend is what has been happening in North America since say the 2010s (or maybe the 00s). First, there's the 3rd wave feminism (with its oppressor/oppressed narrative - I don't get how scholar can believe and defend this very caricatural view). Then, the even crazier thing is "gender studies" and how scholars think gender is a social construct. I don't understand this obsession to distinguish gender and sex. Sexual dimorphism is a scientific fact (for all mammals and most animal species). IMHO, society is merely a more refined translation of biology.- The Political Correctness Haters' Club
It's not as interesting as what I wanted it to be. They're just describing the phenomenon without really explaining its root causes.- Emma Grattidge
