Woketards are pissed about the Sydney Sweeney American Eagle advertisement. Nazi was thrown around. It's common sense and a return to normalcy that a company hired an attractive girl to market their product. It's not a novel idea. The novel idea was hiring ugly, fat, trannies, guys in bras, etc to market clothing products. American Eagle's stock rose nearly 30% after the news and ad, which maintained a 10% increase.

Time will tell. Trump is a once in generation guy. Trump is an imperfect avatar as a big fuck you to the political elite. MAGA is a coalition of a lot people across the political spectrum, from a little past middle to right. No matter who has power coming up in the next few years, the people aren't going to put up with not being able to buy houses to start families among other things. People are becoming more violent especially on the left. People aren't going to put up with elites much longer. It sucks what happened during COVID, but I think it was a social experiment as well to see what people in power could get away with. A lot of people said never again and also had the biggest riots in 60 years.

Eww called a Republican. I'd love $.89/gallon gas like when I grew up. Inflation has been a mixed bag so far as some goods and services have gone down in price while others have stayed the same or have gone up. Then there's the predatory price gouging going on by the big box stores. The housing market and energy costs sans gasoline has not seen any relief yet. I know those things take longer to remedy. I'd give a C+ grade for Inflation so far, some good and some bad, but still needs improvement.

I was talking about the image of the US military. All so called wars that the US were involved in post WW2 were senseless. The wars from the 80s to present were about protecting the petrodollar besides being senseless. Wars are a trillion dollar business with all those contracts being handed out with skimming money off the top by the elites and political elites in addition to the contracts handed out to family members.

That was our parents experience in universities. It's too late, now it won't make a difference as AI starts making academic fields of study obsolete as it becomes more common.

I forgot that the push for students to universities has been a monumental failure that has hindered 2 generations so far with heavy debt. What a scam! Universities should only be needed for only certain fields of study. There's YouTube, Khan Academy, free coding classes, etc out there for free. We'll have to pivot again as AI becomes more prominent in our everyday lives.

Agreed on the first 2 sentences. The Department of Education isn't going to fix the issues besides parents' apathy towards education. The whole system needs an overhaul and the factory learning system has been outdated for 50 years. Putting more money into it isn't going to solve it.

Yeah I can agree the metrics for education systems around the world then were not done correctly. I disagree on the military issue. To me growing up until within the last 20 years sans the Trump presidencies that I viewed the military's image as badass guys oozing with machismo that was ever becoming pussified with lower standards.

The school stuff happened during covid where parents started pushing back on public schools, although there were calls for school choice before covid. Then there was always the argument that the US was #1 in the world and Top 10 for education until the Department of Education was created. Some states are right to work states where employees can't be required to join unions. As for the military the physical standards were lowered, image problems, woke/dei issues within the military, take the jab or be discharged, and I'm forgetting other stuff. The police in areas applied a two tier application of the law, closed down businesses that didn't break covid protocol while looking the other way for certain businesses. Both sides view the government when their side is not in power as corrupt, ruining this country, etc. Then there's the conspiracy theorists who conspiracy no matter whomever is in charge.

Education, sports, their jobs, local governments, military, police, firefighters, and many more.
