Lainey again but I think her analysis here isn't that wrong @Lilja K
Anya Taylor-Joy’s killer return
ATJ is returning to Netflix in the series adaptation of Bella Mackie’s book, How To Kill Your Family. Per Netflix:
“The eight-episode series follows Grace, who has a complicated family. Her dad is Simon Artemis, a billionaire and ruthless social climber. Grace is the product of an affair Simon claims not to remember, which left Grace and her mom to fend for themselves. When her mother dies and Grace is rejected by the people who should love her, she transforms her anger into something useful — killing off her estranged extended family via morbidly creative means. Soon, Grace is clawing her way toward revenge and a hefty inheritance. But her mission pulls her away from what she really needs.”
So, yeah, this is perfect casting. Anya’s production company is actually called LadyKiller. And it’s the kind of role that will likely play big across demographics and on social media. I can already see the memes now – ATJ pulling off a murder with sly eyes, a red lip, with her hair styled in the most perfect low pony. But deeper than that because we all know she has the talent to add more dimension to a straight up revenge story.
But the timing also works for her professionally as she’s coming off… well… can we call Furiosa a flop? The film was well received by critics but there were hopes for it to perform better than it did at the box office. Sarah was one of the few people who always knew that it was unlikely to meet those (now unrealistic) expectations but the Furiosa hype was there and then it wasn’t. Which is why ATJ seems to have lost some momentum, especially when you consider where we were nearly four years ago this fall.
Anya had been on the rise for sure up to that point, but then came The Queen’s Gambit in October 2020. We were all still in lockdown and watching everything and that series blew up, taking her to the next level of stardom. None of her leading role projects since then have hit for her in the same way. But with How To Kill Your Family and a return to Netflix, it’s like a soft reset for her, a very good move.

Leonardo DiCaprio will produce a new movie being filmed in Alberta
Wild Rose Country is no stranger to major productions, but that should come as no surprise.
From the majestic mountains and the rugged badlands to bustling cities, Alberta is a stunning province that keeps industry titans coming back and it won’t be long until we see it on screens big and small once again.
Not only are highly anticipated projects like The Abandons (Gillian Anderson, Lena Headey) and Die, My Love (Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson) being filmed on the Prairies, Howl, a film produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jane Goodall will also be shot in the area.
Described as being “set against the backdrop of a harsh winter,” the movie follows Harry, a dog left home alone during a fatal accident involving his family.
“Harry goes through a rollercoaster survival ride that brings him into contact with a wolf,” explains the Film and Television Industry Alliance (FTIA)
“The pair must overcome their mutual fear and suspicion, and ultimately they develop a close bond.”
According to FTIA, production will take place in Calgary between October 1st, 2024 and February 28th, 2025 – so keep an eye out for the crew, but be respectful and stay out of their way while they’re in the area.
Leonardo DiCaprio may not roll into Alberta while on duty as producer, but this is still an exciting time!

Well... Just like George Clooney in "The Boys in the Boat" made rowing look thrilling director Luca Guadagnino somehow managed to make tennis looking hot (literally the last time I witnessed so much sweating was in ELVIS lol) - and with that I really mean the game and not the story around it. I also for probably the first time understand the fuss about Zendaya imo. She easily was the standout here. I also think it's pretty rare to see a woman in the superior role of not only 1 but 2 men in this menage trois. Me for my part was fascinated by their kinda ill-fated dynamic but wouldn't say I found their relationship sexy. I also didn't really ship any of them together. It was kinda weird for a so called promoted "erotic thriller" this is why I wrote not really what I expected earlier. But maybe all of this was exactly intended. It's def watchable though and even worth a rewatch I would claim. Sometimes I can a movie fully appreciating when I watch it a 2nd time knowing what's coming expectations erased.

Vickers basically was cosplaying as someone else in S1 so I guess it will be more of the same, but in the Elf-style.
But other than in season 1 this time the audience know he's Sauron. I hope this knowledge will bring a different/fresh dynamic to the interpretation of the character. It would be rather lazy repeating just the same in elf style.
lol
the rings of power + clues that halbrand was sauron all along
