MKgirl! At the very end of the weekend, you came up with a great one indeed! I love admiring Tori in her stills and in her moving pics as I have often said. But I also love listening to her speak/think. She almost becomes 3D! Sensory over load for sure! She is so serious in this interview, but her fun self does peek through in a few spots. Whatever the case, Tori is adorable no matter what she does. . . getting her toes in the sand during a break or designing a new suit. I just cannot imagine starting a business and one for such a niche market. That she has done so reminds me that she is bright, has foresight, creativity, and an objective sense of her abilities and dreams! Go, Tori! Thanks again, MKgirl!

Thanks, SnL and Dawson, for all the Tori pics from past and present! In Tori's early and current pics just posted, she always looks so beautiful thanks in part to her glowing skin and healthy hair! Twinkle's comment above about Tori's amazing abs can be applied to her entire athletic body! I am surprised, given that Tori is a picture of health, she is not on women's health/fitness mag covers or in their editorials. Here's to hopin'!

Thanks, babylola, for "refreshing" (vs. reposting ) Tori Nation with some still and moving pics of Tori's past! In New England, where the wintry weather has already started, her glowing images add more than a bit of sunshine! MKgirl spotted some new pics on Tori's IMG pages but could not copy them to paste here. Perhaps because you know how to post video captures, you can do it! Thanks soooooooooo much for your posts! As I often say, I really love going back through Tori's BZ pages to see how amazing she has been since Day 1! Happy Halloween  to Tori and Tori Nation!

Only you, MKgirl, could have spared Tori Nation my babble with some new Tori Pics! Thank you, Thank you! I genuflect at your research powers! Coincidentally, I just got a Gorsuch catalogue in the mail and . . . an LL Bean one. I was wistful as she is hardly in the former and not in LL Bean (but easily could play the prepster role). But Lo. . . in GQ. . .Tori looks so cute in the legendary, preppy LL Bean Boots in this set! More important, Tori looks healthy and gorgeous and still working as a model, not just designer of bathing suits or something. And being in the latest US GQ is a new notch on her portfolio belt for sure and maybe a harbinger of her new modeling projects. Here's to hopin'! Thanks again, MKgirl, and a great weekend to you and Tori Nation! PS I think I barely saw VAMPIREHORDE's watermark at the bottom of these huge pics. He has been amazing in the past with HQs, as has el Jefe. Thanks, Vampirehorde!

114 and here we go! C'mon, Tori! Help keep Tori Nation free of my babble about you by presenting any images of you in any setting!

Boy, after "proving" Tori's hair and eyes are gorgeous, I may as well continue presenting my case that Tori is beyond beautiful from top to toe! Hopefully, for all us, new Tori pics will arrive soon to prevent me from writing about the obvious and keep us from certain death by babble! Maybe we'll finally get to page 114 during this radio silence thanks to . . . the babble. This jury, composed of the members of Tori Nation, may not be exactly unbiased, but it's still deserving of a more formal presentation ! Please, Tori Nation, remember to focus solely on Tori's nose as I have already demonstrated unequivocally that Tori's eyes and hair are unquestionably exquisite! Concentrating only on Tori's nose will be challenging as every cell of Tori is so captivating! There are plenty more Tori cells to be appraised as we have not even reached her neck or limbs! Remember: the nose only, please, Tori Nation. . . Tori's nose is about as cute as any button from any angle as evidenced by Exhibits A-C below! A. Head On: B. Left Side: C. Right Side: Tori's nose is also especially, perfectly sublime when it is. . . (Exhibits D-H): D. . . . Tilted and Glam: E. . . . Upside Down: F. . . . Showcasing Its Perfect Nostrils: G. . . . Wrinkling During a For-Real Laugh: H. Perfectly Snug in the Nosepiece of Any Masquerade or Halloween Mask: Clearly and objectively, from bridge to nostrils, Tori Nation, Tori's nose has remained oh so wonderful over the years! I have submitted adoringly, faithfully, judiciously, and babblingly this evidence on behalf of Tori Nation (ie Tori Praver, her Bellazon fans, converts from other BZ model fans, and casual visitors to these pages. Hopefully, my studious, lawyerly, and scholarly efforts have not scared off the Tori faithful or newbies or those leaning to adoring her. babyloa, thanks for the pic! I love black and white! While I am hypnotized by Tori's beautifully shaped, large eyes, I love "refreshing" myself on the virtues of Tori's hair, too. Virtually every pic shows Tori's silken strands so it is even harder to select a single fave given the range of choices! Whether Tori wears her hair up or down, curled or straight, or wet or dry, Tori has strong, healthy tresses that can be cute, "athletic," or sexy fashionista! Fun and Curly: Silky Straight: With her naturally healthy locks, Tori could do print and television ads for any hair product company! Hope Columbus Day Weekend provided some rest for all and maybe a shortened work week.

We all miss Tori and would love new candids, editorials, videos, and covers. Till those show up, I am going to reminisce about Tori's career and "refresh" our collective fan memories with some early pictures of my fave Tori "parts." Disclaimer: I know it's not PC or good in anyway to objectify girls/women, but I am doing so only with admiration and awe. I may as well start from the top with Tori's eyes as her orbs are certainly beautiful and hypnotic in this pic: Please feel free to add your fave Tori "parts" or anything else you love about Tori. Perhaps with some group love, we can can "will" some Tori images to appear on her BZ pages and reach page 114 and BEYOND!

I miss new Tori stuff, too, especially my daily dose of her Gorsuch pics, but Tori seems to know where she wants to go and perhaps piling on editorials and runway shows would be deelish for us, but she may want to go the designing route more fully and even branch out into designing other types of garments. It is a tough market with quite a few competitors from her modeling ranks alone designing jewelry to clothing. Tori has to keep her creativity, her production, and distribution at optimal levels for her business to succeed in a niche-but-crowded market. Having joined the site several years ago, I know Tori has proven she has many looks beyond the initial bathing suit babe persona, though she can rock that look even now. We have seen Tori wearing haute couture and represented quite different designers. She is as comfortable in super-high heels and bare feet. Tori is as comfortable hamming it up in front of the cameras as she is giving intense looks. I know all models should be chameleons of sorts to succeed in this brutal field as it simply part of the job, and Tori is no different, especially as she was stereotyped early-on as the all-American Golden bikini babe. Even as early as 2006, she hit the ground running and included that typecasting while creating a whole new range of roles and looks since then. Tori never shirked her bathing-suit or surfer-girl images but inluded them in her large "repertoire" of looks. That shows strength of character and self. Most important to me, Tori has maintained a low-key approach to her fairly sudden fame and seems to keep her feet on the ground. So far, she has not come across as an entitled A-Lister who disparages her colleagues, fans, etc. As several of us have mentioned in the past, Tori has a great sense of altruism and does a great deal of charity work despite her designer/model roles. Tori has quite a business brain as well and, and again, knows her self, it seems, and her business in side and out. This self-awareness and, of course, passion for her modeling and designing, will help her succeed if she chooses to model more or design more or. . . get a great action movie or TV role just for me ; ). I haven't forgotten, she could easily be the Bondest of Bond girls with her athleticism and patrician looks. The key, however, is it is all her set of choices as you know, and if you are a fan of Tori's you will trust her decisions whether or not you see one more photo of her or even a swimsuit. It is Tori's life after all. Sure, just as with any celeb, there is an inextricable link between fan and celeb; ie you cannot have one fully with the other just as you cannot have night without day or black without white, etc. But Tori has given us a great deal in a relatively short time frame and done so with alacrity, humor, and professionalism with us fans, Ford/IMG, and those who hire her. Until, Tori does decide to make a move, I will check in on her past pics and "refresh" myself on those as there are so many amazing photos of this wearer of many fedoras . Just look at Dawson's mini time capsule above to see a snippet of Tori's range over a period of five years!

Boy, misspraver, these pics remind me how versatile a model Tori has been since she first showed her beautful face and healthy body. Your avi and these pics show how consistently healthy and strong she has looked. The veil, the glowing skin, gorgeous eyes, etc. in these pics remind us how many amazing looks Tori has from bathing beauty to Vogue vixen. Thanks!

Thanks, Babylola and Dawson, for an amazing retrospective of Tori pics! They bring her earlier work right to the forefront of our collective minds and reminds us that Tori's beauty is timeless. Dawson, your sig and avi of Brooklyn Decker are great. Her hair looks so fun! The autumnal equinox passed on 23 SEPT. Fall leaves on the ground and earlier sunsets here in Boston, but DAYlight savings started in some Southern Hemisphere locales! The sun is always shining somewhere and the days are getting longer there, too!

Mkgirl!!!!! Two lesser-known posts in one morning?! I'm experiencing sensory overload. . . but with Tori pics that feels soooo good! I'm lovin' that big ol' bun on top o' her beautiful head! It's so ballerina adorable and goes with her long, strong yoga/ballerina limbs. Thus, "Ballerina Bun" is added to "Chiclet Teeth" to help describe individual aspects of Tori's beauty and cuteness. Thanks for your devoted effort on behalf of Tori and her BZ fans! She and Danny continue to look cute and supportive of each other in many of these events. Any wedding plan bets for these two Hawaiian, silky-blonde-haired, model surferfolks? When it occurs, I will bet on a Maui location or Bali. As a pro photographer, Danny could take the family candids. I genuflect in your general cyber direction, MKgirl!

OOOOOHHHH, Babylola! Page 113! What a fun start to fall with great pics of Tori past and present, candid and posing. I knew she has been with 2pm in Denmark for a while, but I did not know about Modelink in Sweden. In the Modelink pic, Tori is part cute, part beautiful, part elegant. . . maybe she's part Scandinavian, too. That hair. That skin. Those eyes. That dress. That's also all Tori in the Modelink pic. Whatever the case, Tori is all wonderful and altruistic all the time. Clothes may make the man, but this woman makes the clothes. . . and the swimwear!

Tori looks sooooooooooo cute, cute with her hair up and smiling away with her big, perfect chiclet teeth! Tori's eyes always seem to curve and smile, too! Tough to exolain that but her whole face lights up. Thanks, again, MKgirl for your diligence and a great weekend to Tori and all her fans!
  15. If I didn't have a contract for Verizonwireless, I would switch to T-Moblie in a red-hot second despite a prior bad experience with them before Verizon! I walk by her T-Mobile posters at the store every day, and I am reminded of her cuteness, fitness, and here fashionistaness! Hope to see more of Cary the Cute Canadian on her BZ pages, in ads, editorials and on runways and whatever she wants to do in future!

Oh boy! What a deelish and fun one-two of Tori still photographs and moving pictures! Whoa boy again! Does she look healthy and strong and glowing and beautiful and. . . you fill in the blank. . . ! Thanks soooooo much, audrinaxoxo and MKgirl, for helping Labor Day Weekend, the unofficial transition from summer to fall, turn out so beautifully with images of Tori, the magnificent, mult-faceted modelina! Hope all who were transitioning in someway did so how they wanted to. Hope, too, they have a short week to enjoy! PS No mo' white bucks, Madras, seersucker, etc. now. . .

Thanks, babylola, for some more sunshine after Irene swung up the East Coast! Tori makes such a cute, pretty, and pretty hot nerdette! Of course, the other "blasts from the past" from Tori, the cutest of the cutes, are also fun!
  18. lancelot479 replied to Lea's post in a topic in Female Fashion Models
Yowsah, MKgirl! :hell yea!: You really do dig up some fun stuff on Tori. I'm sure she's as appreciative of your efforts as her BZ fans are! Hope all are safe from 'quakes 'n' 'canes!

NOT my usual babble! I don't think this has been posted yet from HI Luxury Magazine to go with el jefe's HQ pics thanks to MKgirl's research: Blonde Ambition By: Brian Berusch Filed Under: Cover Story • FEATURES June - July 2011 MODEL: TORI PRAVER MAKEUP: KECIA LITTMAN HAIR: KELLI KENNY STYLIST: YU SHING TING PHOTOGRAPHER: MARK ARBEIT THERE ARE THOSE WHO FEEL THAT CALLING TORI PRAVER A “TRIPLE THREAT” would be an undermining of her assets. Sure, the recent 24-year-old earned the title “supermodel” mere months after graduating from Maui’s Lahainaluna High School (when she appeared in three consecutive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues). She’s proven her ilk as a budding swimwear designer. And her humanitarian efforts are more than admirable. Yet, while it would be easy to construct an article around all three of these attributes, Praver’s depth of character-revealed throughout the course of our nine-hour interview and photo shoot-reveals that her capabilities are still hovering on the horizon. We found our cover model is not only a globetrotter with a penchant for fashion, but she oozes an unwavering aloha spirit as well as a zeal for new experiences. Did we mention she’s j-j-jaw droppingly g-g-gorgeous? (I swear; I never used to stutter.) But don’t take it from me. If you can make it past this array of stunning photos, you’ll enjoy the read. Tori Praver is flitting gracefully between locations here at Kathy Ireland’s Hawai’i pied-a-terre, as our crew tries to suppress the excitement. First off, the obvious irony: Praver, an on-the-rise model, with stints as the face of Guess? as well as covers and fashion spreads in Vogue, Glamour and Elle, having posed for iconic shooters Bruce Weber and Patrick Demarchelier… is shooting here-at the home of Sports Illustrated‘s darling cover girl, Kathy Ireland. To take things to the next level, Ireland has gone on to create a multi-billion dollar empire for herself in the home, apparel and jewelry retail arena, while Praver is a mere three years in to an already-successful run as an up-and-coming swimwear designer. Yet, what I am stewing on-having interviewed both Praver and Ireland in the past (it’s a tough job, fellas)-is how did both of these ladies get to be so damn grounded? What happened to the eating-disordered, drug-abusing image of cell phone-hurling catwalk beauties we’ve all come to read about? Is there a new breed of model brewing? Praver, it seems, couldn’t care less. She has enough going on within her own (rather productive) realm that not only did a few of my celeb name-drops fall short (“Wait, who?”), but they came between calls from her distribution house needing word on the delivery of her new cruise line samples, the sales figures from a T-shirt campaign she spearheaded in order to raise money for the family of dear friend (and fallen pro surfer) Sion Milosky, and making dinner plans with her boyfriend. For tomorrow night. In Manhattan. These days, the challenges are many, she shares. Praver admits she’s only slightly out of her element, residing in New York City’s uber-hip Lower East Side with said boyfriend, surfer (and part-time model/lucky bastard) Danny Fuller. “Danny gets out to the beaches there, Rockaway and out on Long Island. But I’ve had a hard time with the disconnect from the ocean,” she says, staring at the nearby gentle surf as we drive to our location. Luckily for her, a jaunt to the sea is never too far ’round the bend. A week after our photo shoot and inter- view here on O’ahu, Praver flies to Panama for a four-day swimwear gig “for some Spanish designer.” Such is life for a 5-foot-11 blonde born in San Diego, and raised on the brown sugar shores of Napili, Maui. Haters will cringe when hearing that instead of employing a team of recent Parson School of Design graduates, Praver hand-draws all her own suits. “I’ve been really blessed. I get to hire a bunch of my friends (from Maui) who do fulfillment and order taking for the line. Which is great,” Praver says, adding that her mom, Lori, oversees the accounting and bookkeeping for Tori Praver Swimwear. Practically raised in a bikini, Praver still draws influ- ence from realms that far exceed her lifetime; she touts flipping through old S.I.‘s, as well as a vintage swimsuit collection belonging to friend (and stylist) Lisa Cooper, as great influences on her pieces. “I really gravitate to the vintage stuff. For me, it’s really all about the materials,” she says, rifling through a duffel bag that contains almost the entirety of her third full collection. “In the past, I really loved using images and prints I’d seen in places like Bali, or small towns throughout Europe. But this year I really went with earth tones-army greens, browns. I wanted an organic feel.” After a few looks-shot on the beach, on the rooftop and in an alcove designed for Ireland’s close friend, Eliza- beth Taylor, Praver expounds on some future plans. “Everyone is so supportive in Hawai’i. I’d love to open a shop here. Someday,” she adds, her eyes telling in a glance that there’s too much happening elsewhere at the moment. “In fact, a friend of mine from growing up, Naomi (Newirth), started her own line called Acacia that has done really well. We talk about opening some- thing, like a boutique-slash-café, like they have in Bali. You can sit and eat baked goods on one side, and there’s a boutique for swimwear on the other side. I love it. It would be ideal in Paia.” Indeed, she spends quite a bit of time in Bali, chasing waves (she longboards herself and, yes, keeps one in her NYC apartment) alongside Kaua’i-raised Fuller, with whom she’s been with for five years. Next on the list for the pair will ideally be a jaunt to Africa, says Praver, who is eager to participate in a volunteer program there. A few years ago, Praver began sponsoring three kids through Save the Children, a global organization that aids youths in need. And while it’s fairly easy for someone earning upward of $5,000 per day to cut a check, Praver is far more involved. “I write letters with all three of them, send them things, photos of my family, hair clips, that sort of thing,” she says of her three pen pals, who reside in Nepal, Bangladesh and Kentucky, respectively. “The first letter I got was in full-on Sanskrit. I was just so shocked when I opened it. Clearly, it had to be translated. But I still have it. It was amazing-like a piece of art.” (Art that led to her first tattoo: a Sanskrit saying that translates to “If not now, when?”) As her swimwear line begins to break in to the European market, it’s possible that Praver is drawn even further east than Manhattan-further from her roots. However, her focus is keen. When asked about the few remaining hot spots in her New York neighborhood that I could recall from my time spent there (albeit 10 years ago), Praver shrugs, admitting she and Fuller “don’t go out much.” Balancing a surfboard in front of our photographer here at Ireland’s picturesque pad, it’s very clear where the majority of Praver’s energy is focused: Within the click of every frame.

Oh, my, MK Girl! You are killing me with the "refreshed" and hard-to-find current pics of Tori! I remember seeing the turntable pic and that set somewhere awhile back. You are soooooo right: Tori has "come a long way, baby"! (Old Virginia Slims cigarette tagline.) I do think, however, once Tori got going, say, with the Guess? campaign or before, she hit the ground running. In 2005/6, Tori has some amazing stuff from the likes of Ellen Von Unwerth (for Guess?) and other famous photographers. These are hard to differentiate from her latest stuff in terms of quality of looks, poses, etc. In other words, she was a quick study. In addition, last week, I was wondering who would bring Tori's BZ pages to 112! It was fitting that it would be you, MKgirl. I hope you're Monday has not been manic!

MKGirl!!!!!! I loved that Hope Solo-esque dive in Sweden's STADIUM Magazine. It showed Tori's athleticism, athletic build, and overall beauty! Thanks for bringing it to the forefront of our collective memory and in full Technicolor! You are the bestest!

TRIPTYCH: Originally, three-panelled religious paintings connected by hinges to allow closing for safe-keeping. Now referring to any three images photographs, posters, etc. . . Some fun ones on Google of Marlon Brando, Audrey Hepburn, a Mini Cooper, and other modern images. NORTHERN EUROPEAN ART: Triptych of the Adoration of the Magi (1517); Jacob Cornelisz Van Oostsanen (Dutch) USA ARTS AND CRAFTS ARCHITECTURE: Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) Triptych CONTEMPORARY CASUAL FASHION: Tori (1986-Present) Triptych (Featuring Henley collar, named after Henley Regatta (UK)) Is Tori gone from Gorsuch or relegated to the back pages? I haven't received my daily dose of her in Gorsuch emails until today, hence the radio silence or the lack of my babble. The girl on the cover of the latest print catalogue has been in past editions, but now seems to be the main mama. Tori, however, still has the most patrician presence of the lot of those lasses! Hope the Dawg Daze of August are treatin' Tori and her BZ fans with AC or coolness access and plenty of hydration! Have a great collective weekend!
