Thanks once again, MKgirl. I love to see Tori in her in her element. She seems to be the consummate business woman and in this economy, though I know she is operating in a niche market. I still admire her creativity and bringing designs to life! It is quite an undertaking as any one who has worked in any type of retail knows. Tori is quite an amazing person who seems to be balanced in her work and personal lives! Thanks for the interview; I especially love reading, hearing what Tori has to say! Page 111 should come and go at this posting rate! I'll add a little babble to help push it along! Bohemian and eponymous are fun and interesting words. Bohemia is an area of the present-day Czech Republic, birthplace of many current top models. "Bohemian" started in France, the unofficial birthplace of fashion, etiquette, etc. and means artsy, booksy, and anti-establishment whether you are in Monmartre of Paris, Chelsea, SoHo of London, or. . . the West Village of NYC or Venice, CA. Mark Twain references it in the 19th Century and today's NY Times' OP/ED writer David Brooks coined a tongue-in-cheek term, like Young Urban Professionals (Yuppie), using: Bourgeois Bohemians or BOBOs. And eponymous goes back at least to ancient Rome's foundation myth written by Ovid who, in his history of the city, names it after Romulus. And, of course, The Roman Empire's influence could be felt in Bohemia at one time. Eponymous is also an REM album and such musical pieces as Bohemian Rhapsody and La Boheme reference this word. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

The same question came up on May 31, 2008, 07:59 PM (Post #939): "Is Tori naturally blond?" SweetnLow, one of BZ's resident Tori authorities, said "That would be a definite yes." Although I have seen Tori as a blonde most of the time, she has colored her hair dark for certain shoots. Similarly, Hilary Rhoda, Tori's model "classmate," is almost always brunette but has some great editorials with blonde hair. I guess if they ask you to change it, you may have to. It just may give another great look.

I just peeked at the Glamour AUG 2011 issue with Heidi Klum on the cover. Inside there was a True Religion ad. Was that Tori with her back to the camera? The hair and one high cheekbone were not enough for a positive ID.

Too fast for me, MKgirl but much appreciated! Tori's "R" tatoo on her wrist is for her brother Ryan, who died at 16 in a car accident in 2000 or so, as most of you know. It is elegant and discreet, like Tori. I'm sure Tori thinks of him everytime she looks at it. Phew! Evoking all sorts of emotions happy and sad, included. . . Her other tatoo is Sanskrit, the oldest written language perhaps in the world, originating in India in 2,000 to 1,000 BCE or Before the Common ERA as BC and AD are no longer . . .well, Politically Correct as Christ is not every one's god. Tori's tatoo, on her ribs, reads: IF NOT NOW, WHEN? = यदि नाधुना, कदा. It is an interesting choice for sure, again subtle and meaningful. Exclusive to the upper classes in the way Latin was, Sanskrit is used by Upper Caste Hindus, Jains (an offshoot of Hinduism that tries not to kill any creature great or small)--hence cheescloth masks, brooms to sweep away bugs that could be "foot kill"), and Buddhism. Buddhism started with a Hindu Kshatrya or Brahmin upper-class prince named Siddhartha Gautma who is sheltered in his father's palace but one days sees all that is outside does not glitter. He then goes on a journey to find Nirvana or enlightement and realizes that materialism is not a true goal for humanity. The Police have a song "boddhisatva" which means "enlightened" and "existence" if you transliterate the first and second half of the word. Herman Hesse's thin paper back SIDDHARTHA would be an easy way to learn more during summer vacation. Kshatrya's are warrior princes and kings in the Hindu caste system, second only to Brahmins for the latter control religion just as the clergy hold power in both Protestantism and Catholicism. Brahmins hold religious power but not ruling power. The Buddha forsook riches to journey to find enlightenment. Robert Pirsig's Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance is also a related and popular book and for summer, too. Given a few pics of Tori in front of a huge Buddha, I would wager her tatoo is meant to represent Buddhism and not Hinduism or Jainism, a minority. But the aforementioned Eastern religions conflict markedly with those of the West for they eschew material gain while we are always Keeping up with the Jones's as in the Demi Moore, BZ's own Amber Heard, and David Duchovny' sort of frightening dark comedy of that ubiquitous theme called THE JONES'S (2009). I wonder, then, if Tori's quotation is actually more Western than Eastern because it implies one life on this planet which is completely Western while the other religions promise many lives in which there is no pressure to do things "If not now, when?" In Boston, every other person, in college or working has a yoga mat as he or she walks from work or school to yoga. A recent article said that Indians have said that Westerners have ruined yoga by making it a competition for the best body, to do it too fast, etc. I can see that. We borrow a lot of things cultures worldwide and distorted them for our use and lose sometimes the original purpose or goal of the "inventing" culture. Different forms or interpretations of anything are always good, though, in the end. USELESS TRIVIA of the day: Where did Hitler's Swastika come from, remembering that India was originally an Indo-Aryan or European culture and language and Sanskrit influenced: French, Spanish, English, and is held up as equal if not a greater language than Latin or Greek? ANSWER: The Swastika is the Hindu symbol of PEACE. Hitler loved the codified caste system of India, it's Aryan history, and it's history in the world. The swastika is actually a basket weave design and can be seen in the earliest baskets weave all over the globe. In a a few trips to India, I have seen it displayed ubiquitously: on top of garages, driveway gates, truck rear transaxles, etc. At first, it felt odd as the Swastika is a horrible anti-semitic symbol in the West. But there, it simply meant: PEACE. In India, the Swastika is not tilted as it was by Hitler and The Third Reich. From what I have read on Tori's BZ pages, she has a fascination with Eastern cultures and religions, and I am glad she is looking out of the Western box but merging both West and East harmoniously. Learning more about this model whom we see in 2D makes Tori 3D. Tori is definitely an interesting person on the inside.

lovevsmodels.com Thanks, audrinoxoxo, for a great glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of Tori! Tori does look super cute as a blonde "bun head"; that is with her hair casually sitting up on her head. And you can see even from a distance that Tori is hamming it up as usual, revealing her sense of humor. Her long, strong leg muscles and glowing skin are also clearly apparent at that distance, too. Wowee!!

Forget the tunic and sandals! Just Look at Tori's hair, skin, and musculature! This was probably a "refresh" a page or two back not just in a similar post above with a different Letarte bikini. Whatever the case, a "refresh" of this Golden Goddess is always worth it! Tori is soooo smoooth and siiiilky!

Tori has worn swimsuits for LeTarte Swimsuits before, but here is a LeTarte swimsuit she is wearing in the Gorsuch Catalogue. It is a perfect splash of sun after a rain-filled week in Boston. Gorsuch knows the bestest swimsuit model who will carry us into the weekend! Tori looks amazing in any hat; they set off her chiseled cheekbones and make them smolder!

I AM the Biggest fan revival
Jennka, Thanks for running this fun contest. Each model was too close to call. I voted primarily because Tori has been one of faves for sometime, but I can be unbiased and argue that each model is in some way unique in her look or looks or face or build. Still, with one blonde in this mix who is the underdog in this contest and happens to appear in my sig and avi, I had to go with Tori, the focus hoping to give her more exposure than the others in the list already seem to have. Tori's a mult-faceted gem and started her career early and hit the ground running with amazing Guess? shoots and Ellen Von Unwerth and has walked the runway for great names. But in other, such recent editorials as Elle, Tori really comes into her own, an odd thing to say when She started off so quickly. A low-key person, Tori keeps her feet on the ground and has a terrific sense of humour. You really have to go through Tori's BZ pages to capture a range of her looks and work and even fun candids to show many aspects of her self. In turn, I have to look through the pages of these and other models to broaden my perspective of bauty. Babylola, I looooove your posts because they show the timeless Tori from the past and present. I love going back in her BZ pages to refresh my memory of such pics of Tori grabbing the fence. One has to re-read books and re-visit movies to remind us of the characters and plots, etc., and keep them fresh. That is the same with Tori's pics. There are a couple you posted that show me that Tori hit the ground running early on, and Tori has not really stopped since. In other words, she looks so strong and healthy in some current photos just as she did in 2006 when she was a "probie." Thanks, again, for taking us Back to Tori's Past and to her present as well. I know both her past and present pics will only be harbingers of her amazing future pics, and we can only wait with baited breath for the next cover, photo, or editorial. Page 109 is going fast!

Tori is up against gorgeous Christy Turlington BUT go V-O-T-E!!!!! Nobody from this forum ever gets involved <_< in the Babe Polls so now's the time to start!!! GO! RUN!!! Christy T? Not one of the original supermodels Christy? Hmmm. Tori, Christy? It's apples and oranges of supermodelinas! I abstain, respectfully, despite your gentle persuasion, SnL! Okay, I'll vote for Tori as Christy has had plenty of success and looks today exactly as she did back in the day! If Tori fans have a chance, they should go to www.Gorsuch.com to see their lookbook. I could not save the file type here , but Tori looks sundrenched in the fresh mountain air, wearing various outfits.

MKgirl, You are too funny! I, too, thought Tori had great teeth and called them "Chiclet" teeth because of their perfect shape and brilliant whiteness without seeming whitened. Well, as a model, she is "chic" by definition after all, a terrible quasi-pun on Chiclet, I know, when the "ch's" are not even pronounced the same way. I just assumed kids, who could afford it, had braces or didn't need them because they were perfect "Chiclet" teeth like Tori's . Here are a coupla pics from our sassy sistah's past: If someone, as Tori seems to in all of these natural-born comedienne candids, doesn't take him or herself too seriously, Willy Wonka would classify him or her as a Good Egg. . .with Chiclet teeth!

Okay, so we're approaching the Summer Solstice on 21 June, and it's getting pretty balmy in the Northern Hemisphere. Still, the folks in the Southern Hemisphere might like to warm up with a pic of Tori smouldering and cozy in this Gorsuch winter coat : I think she can wear anything, any time, any where. I especially like this cool, aloof look. Thanks, MKgirl for the fun pics. Tori has a history of showing her sense of humor on these here BZ pages whether it be frizzed out hair or chocolate cake mix blocking out her front teeth. . .

SnL, SnL, SnL! You brought Tori's BZ pages fast and furiously to 108 with a priceless combo: latest and greatest and biggest pics worth a gazillion words of a sleek and strong Tori. . . and . . . . . .words from Tori herself. The more Tori speaks, the more she seems so grounded. I would have picked her for a dog person because in one pic long ago she is hugging a HUGE Newfoundland. I guess I thought she'd be an IPhone type, but she is a consummate Blackberrying, bikini-designing businesswoman! Once again, I genuflect many times in your direction, SnL! Many thanks for adding to the recent flurry of Tori tidbits !

Wowee! Thanks for the Bday presents of Tori posing and speaking! I love to see her pose, audrinaxoxo, move, and thanks to SnL, "see" her think! What a trifecta, hat trick, triple threat . . . A while ago, Tori represented the 70s with her hair styled like the late, great Farah Fawcett-Majors: These three Aspen angels or model musketeers reminded me Tori could be in a better remake of Charlie's Angels or better yet be a visible Charlie/boss in these "modern" times: Tori is so timeless. . . Thanks for being born, Tori, and for gracing these pages with so many amazing posed and candid pics!
