The popularity of the whole "candid" thing is just weird. Just look at Webshots--people post their vacation pics for their friends, and they end up getting hundreds of thousands of views. It begs the question, how many fat middle-age guys in polo shirts are downloading pictures of scantily clad underage girls?

Are you on a Mac? If so, try Instant Handbrake . . . http://handbrake.m0k.org/?page_id=26 I haven't used it, but I have used the full version of Handbrake, which is pretty good. Instant Handbrake looks a lot easier, and is specifically designed for the iPod, so that's probably your best bet.
