I'd be fine with people not liking Martha if they were actually giving a decent reason. Ok if you don't like her look that's fine, we all have different preferences and ideas about beauty and what it means, but some people seem to find that a good reason to bash her and say insulting things... And that's what I can't stand. You can definitely say you don't like someone because of i.e. their hair or their legs or whatever, but it can still be done in a somewhat nice way and not in this bashing way that so many here just seem to think is totally fine and okay.

I think the theme of thinness is something aside, Josephine is one of the thinnest among the angels and although they joke about it, she does not get hatred like Martha or other models. I think the controversy over Martha's weight was due to her weight loss this time and people assumed that she had eating disorders. I do not think that's been a way to make fun of her or anything. Lais for example, is somewhat shy and is not as popular but still has a current friendship with Jas, Candice, etc. and the public sees her as an adorable person. What Martha needs is a bit of publicity from her agencies, in the end it's beautiful and she can get more audience without the help of VS.
I've never seen jokes about Josephine being too skinny. Martha is skinny but she has always been, so I still don't get why certain people on here go through phases where they just need to bash Martha for a few days without making any good points or actually bringing something interesting to the table. Like what do they gain by saying "omfg she's too skinny, I can see her ribs!!!!! Go eat 5 hamburgers girl!!!!!"
It's just unnecessary and boring.

I think the fact that Martha gets so much hate is because she is maybe a bit more isolated and quite reversed like ^ said, however I don't find that a reason to hate someone. Also the fact that she is quite slim seems to rub a lot of people on here the wrong way. Skinny people in general get a lot of strange and very unnecessary comments. I don't think her being a part of Taylor's "squad" is the biggest reason for all the hate towards here, Lily is part of it too and people never really made such nasty comments about her compared to Martha.

@Cult Icon He has alopecia, so no, it's not intentional. He can't help it and it's not his fault. If I were you I'd stop making assumptions right away.

@PastaFreak Lol I think it's too late for her back, she's been pushing her hips forward and curving her back in the most weird poses... I'm sure she'll regret it in 20+ years
The difference is just mind blowing when she's curving her back vs when she's not...
@CandleVixen While she does have a great body, I must agree that I seriously don't see this amazing butt everyone always loved to talk about years ago. It's not that spectacular..

@PastaFreak Gisele was never the smiling type on the VS runway either though. There were actually lots of models in the early shows that looked very serious and the difference between then and now is huge. I think the whole atmosphere started changing after the 2006 show... Then it became all about smiling and pouting, blowing kisses and whatnot. I personally think you couldn't of said it better that we should accept VS as the playful fashion party now but imo that's what makes it look way less interesting. It doesn't have that oomph anymore, the classic VS atmosphere is gone and that's what I think that person was trying to say.

People glamorize serious models, but we really only had a few models whom were serious. And I get where the perception of stone cold killer faces came from. A lot of VS angels from the earlier days are serious faces, like Gisele and Adriana in their early years of VS career. But they started smiling too, Adriana became playful even. Going by that, we really only had a few models whom I can think of that weren't smiling ie: Anja Rubik.
Even the infamous Naomi smirked the tiniest bit on the runway. And VS never gave me the association with serious models, I memorize every show's models from the outfits and their facial features. My point is, if serious is what you need to make a model or the show stand out, then the show isn't achieving what it wants to achieve. The highlight of VSFS are the models and the FB. The lingerie collection isn't that important anymore as far as I can tell. Case in point, I totally get it when people say they miss the serious vibes, but its another thing to say "Naw, VS is going down cause they don't employ serious models."
I can't say I fully disagree with the fact that VS is going down because they don't employ serious models, but VS used to be a brand loved by young women, now it seems that they're trying to appeal to a much younger audience, teens and college kids. Nothing wrong with that, but for some (or a lot it seems) people that's not what VS is. I don't know how long you've been a fan of VS or have been following their shows? I don't remember when I found out about VS but I remember being so impressed and like many other girls all over the world fantasising about how amazing it would be to be a part of that brand, that iconic brand known for their lingerie, beautifully done shows and amazing music. There are so many things that come to mind for me when I hear classic VS. It was something that people looked forward to every year, it was part of the whole holiday spirit and atmosphere. Nowadays it still is a big part of the holidays, but the impact of it just seems different. Now you see tons of teenage girls standing outside screaming for their favorite models, that was just not happening back in the day. There were no teens to be seen near a VS show because it simply wasn't that.
About the "seriousness", I never saw Gisele smiling on the VS runway. Adriana became playful because VS changed and told her to be. Not because she suddenly felt like pointing her finger at the camera, jumping up and down like she did at the 2007 show and blowing kisses. For me, even though I'm still very young and in my early 20s, that just doesn't scream like a tasteful show. Like you said before, it really is a "party" nowadays, and not a good one at that. I think it's pretty sad that a lot of people just follow what's happening with VS purely for pleasure and to get a good laugh out of it instead of actually being interested in the show itself, the models, the lingerie. A lot has changed and not for the better imo.

I don't remember the exact name of the condition right now but sometimes the veins look like that in people that never sit down, walk a lot, wear high heels all the time, etc. My mom have hers like that too, maybe it's that.
I suppose it is because of that. It can't be of the cold lol like some have mentioned, I've seen pictures of her at the beach or other events during summer and she still had them.

I tried the bronze shimmer powder, primer and some lipglosses and they felt a lil bit subpar (although the primer was a very cool alternative to L'oreal lumi primer).. It would be nice to have a VS makeup line with high end quality but it feels like the market is too saturated right now. Body butters are bomb, though!
I personally don't see VS starting a makeup line anytime soon but who knows. With VS you never know what to expect lol

As far as I tried the quality of VS makeup is was of a flop and it did show that isn't the brand's main focus point. It would be great if this new aoproach meant they would get a little bit more into it and brought back the primer
It makes sense that makeup is not their main focus point, VS is not a makeup brand but a lingerie brand. I never had any problems with VS makeup though. They used to have everything from eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, bronzers, lipgloss, lipstick, lipliners... I tried all of them except lip liners and the quality was amazing. Loved it. This was years ago though, I thin the last time I used it was around 2014... I think they discontinued their makeup line along with swimwear, in 2015? VS' quality in general has declined though so I wouldn't be surprised if their current make up (not a lot of it available it seems, lotions and some lip products) aren't that great, but they used to amazing.

I could not agree more about Karlie, she used to be one of my favorites, and truly something special, and now she is about as boring as Miranda Kerr. I really hope Romee doesn't go down that path. With any luck she will get even more edgy and ethereal.
Miranda is another one I'm so surprised of... Years ago I would've never expected her to go down this path. She used to be so unique and such an interesting young woman... but now? All she seems to do is talk about her rose quartz and noni stuff

I dont know what they see in Jourdana she is just ugly in my eyes. AHH
Like so many here loved to point out to me when I said the same thing about Grace Elizabeth, it's just your opinion
doesn't mean others can't see something in her. You love Sara and Taylor, I for one don't get why Taylor is all that popular.
