I think Valentino really liked her, but I totally agree, she doesn't really seems to be anyone's favorite girl... I'm actually quite surprised she made it so far in the industry since she became well known during the Russian wave, no? 03/04/05? In my opinion her face is almost unrealistically perfect, I've seriously never seen anyone with a face like hers, especially her profile. Doutzen was one of the first models I discovered and I always thought she looked extremely pretty and so different (in a good way) compared to all the others.

I don't think she looks "too skinny" at all. Maybe it is the mirror making her look skinnier, maybe she has lost some weight or she's been photoshopping again Wouldn't be the first time. Okay. I already stated on the previous page that I should’ve made myself more clear. I just don’t really see the need for you/others calling me stupid and accusing me just because of something that was unclear and simply miscommunication... Okay I’m sorry for missing the point, but how exactly is it okay for you (and Clauds) to automatically jump to “You’re blaming her and it’s all her fault! This is disgusting.” I find it quite disgusting that apparently it’s okay for you and others to just automatically jump to conclusions. This was clearly a miscommunication and I probably should’ve tried to express myself in a more clear way. Have you never made a mistake? I really don’t know what else to say than that. I apologized multiple times so I’m not sure what more you expect of me.

And did I ever say something that shows I don't have any sympathy for her (or whoever it happened to)? I said that if all of this happened I hope the victim has good people around her who help(ed) her and can be there for her whenever she needs them to be. Again, I don't know much about Barbara's career and when or when she didn't go to a VS casting. I'll try explaining it one more time: Barbara goes to the casting. They saw pictures of her partying instead of working out at the gym like other models and told her it's a bit unprofessional. She doesn't get the show. That's literally all I was talking about. I don't really appreciate being accused of saying I don't care about the victim etc because that's not at all my intention or how I look at these things. My comment about her being allegedly being called unprofessional has absolutely nothing to do with what happened to her in that story. I've actually been a victim of abuse myself so I would absolutely never ignore the victim or what that has happened to the victim. I'm sorry if I made it seem any other way because that's absolutely not (and has never been) my intention.

What the hell? That's not at all what I meant. I'm not blaming her in any way. I don't know much about Barbara or her career or when that rape story allegedly happened. All I'm saying is that if she auditioned for the VS show and got told she was unprofessional because of too much partying instead of working out or preparing for the show, then I understand why they called her unprofessional. That's literally all I meant. I never said anything about her having to put aside all those things. I meant to say it in general way, if she herself wanted to be in the VS show but chose to just keep partying instead of working on her image then yeah that's not the most professional thing to do. However, it doesn't take anything away from how bad the whole rape story is and I never meant to make it sound that way. Again, to make myself clear, whoever the story is about, Barbara or anyone else (did it get confirmed who it's about?), I'm not blaming her/whoever it happened to. @clau17 If the story is about Barbara then I feel very sorry for her and I hope she has good people around her who can support her and be there for her whenever she needs them. But people calling her lazy and/or unprofessional isn’t a crime... Is it fun to be told those things? No not at all, but maybe some of those things were true. I don’t remember who said it but wasn’t she rejected by VS because she was seen partying non stop while she should’ve been working out and eating healthily? If she was told then that it’s unprofessional and lazy behavior (the partying and just not caring much about her image) then I’d have to agree with those people who told her that.

Sure, many other models her age are still popular and working more but that doesn’t automatically mean Adriana has to as well. Is it sad that she’s going a different, perhaps not as desirable (in fans their eyes) path? Maybe. Maybe not. Fact is she is a grown woman and she can do whatever she wants. Money isn’t a problem for her, so if she does quit today, she can still live very comfortably for the rest of her life.

I don’t think anyone is mad at you for “confronting” us (seriously... we can read too) but I honestly think it’s time for you to just accept she isn’t the model and person you once liked so much. Writing entire “essays” in here and analyzing her every move, looking at everything she’s doing or that she hasn’t done and what it all means won’t help or change the situation. You’re going to talk about how “perplexing” it is that she’s living differently compared to 1 or 2 years ago? Isn’t that what you’ve been talking about for the last months/year? She’s changed, maybe not for the better, but it’s time to move on. Besides you, me and like 2 others, no one posts here anymore. I’ve noticed this in several topics though, people expecting their favorite model to just keep working and working even when they’ve been in the business for 20+ years... There’s a time everyone stops working and it seems like this is the moment Adriana chose to start slowing down. She isn’t a 20 year old model that’s just starting out anymore. She’s done it all. Runways, campaigns, editorials, tons of VS shoots, commercials, walked 17 of their shows... I mean come on. Lately her behavior has been odd and if she really is ending her career this way it’s pretty sad but there’s absolutely nothing that you, me or anyone can change about that. All I can say is try to accept that.

Believe it or not, the last thing I want is another discussion, because there are always more than enough of those in Adriana’s topics, whether I’m involved or not in some of them. It’s just odd that whenever I say something some of you always seem to think it’s an “attack” or I come across being hostile towards you guys when I’m just making a personal observation. All I meant I don’t get the point in posting pictures of her everyday mentioning she’s still sick. Yeah the stomach flu is annoying and not fun at all but it’s not the end of the world. I’m sure she’ll be be better soon and then we can all go back to discussing over and over again why she looks a tad fuller, that it’s all Metin’s fault and why she eats different food compared to a few months ago.

True, but each photographer has a different way of working and I'd think that if Bellemere has acted so badly and inappropriate with all of VS's models, VS would've stopped working with him much sooner. VS has always been very clear about making sure the models are comfortable. An example, several models have said how amazing Russell is and how he is very nice and not inappropriate at all towards the models, which is of course a reason why so many people love to work with him... If all of this really happened the way it's been described then I don't understand why it took so long for VS to cut ties with Bellemere.

Not trying to defend Bellemere but just a general question, how does him (or anyone) telling/showing a person to put their arm in a certain position imply he's into S&M? I really don't see the connection.

"The info"? I'm sorry but what in the video implies he like S&M imagery? Photographers showing the models how they want them to pose isn't anything new and from what I can see in the trailer I don't see anything wrong with the way he touched those women. I can't comment on the whole documentary as I haven't seen it yet since I don't have a Starz account. Not sure if it's available to watch anywhere else but the trailer doesn't imply he likes S&M or that he is into dominance/submission kind of games.

It is good that people are speaking up but lately it seems like literally every man alive has been accused of inappropriate behavior... I’m not saying no one hasn’t doing anything wrong or inappropriate because I’m sure it has happend, as it does in every industry, but to me it seems people have forgotten that there's a huge difference between someone flirting with you and asking you out (just an example) or actually harassing you and doing (sexually) inappropriate things. I've seen it happen so many times, a guy shows interest in a woman (in a nice, respectful way) and she's not interested (fine, of course she's allowed not to be interested in someone) yet sometimes the woman reacts in a totally irrational way and gets very aggressive and when the guy gets pissed AFTER getting thrown all kinds of ugly words at him, he still gets blamed and she's the victim. Doesn't make much sense imo. If you're not interested you can just say so but in a normal way. Lots of people seem to think that being aggressive and rude is the only way to make themselves clear. If there are so many witnesses in this case then I hope they all come forward and actually have some proof because this also wouldn’t be the first time someone gets accused of something only to find out later thay he/she is completely innocent and that the accuser made up the whole story. If he did something wrong and crossed the line, then sure, he should definitely get punished for it, but what a lot of people seem to forget is that someone’s life can be ruined by these type of accusations, even when they haven’t done anything wrong. If someone accused you of something you didn’t do I’m sure you’d like to have the opportunity to defend yourself and show that you’re innocent, right? People hear/read something now and automatically jump to conclusions and say all kinds of things that might not even be true. AGAIN, just to be clear: I'm not saying there aren't men/women who do wrong things, there are absolutely many of them, way too many actually, however, lately people can't seem to see the difference between what's wrong and what isn't.

If all of this is true then I hope whoever is involved in this situation will get punished for it and get the treatment they need, but whatever happend to being innocent until proven guilty? Where is the proof that he/all the others involved did all these things? I find it odd how everyone seems to automatically jump to conclusions and think everything that has been said is true. I’m not trying to take sides or anything btw but it’s quite worrying how lately anyone who gets accused of something is automatically considered guilty even when there isn't any proof.
