I think in Bond movies they only use famous models if the role is very small, like what Alessandra did although I think her role was really too small, she wasn't even on screen for 1 minute. I think people who don't know much about fashion or de modelling industry or never watch VS, wouldn't have recognised her. The reason for instance why Adriana Lima woudn't be chosen is because her fame is too big and would dominate the movie problably. Adriana is well known for a lot of commercials, and the producers don't want that viewers of a Bond movie get these associations with lets say a Victoria Secret commercial. She is almost an whole movie on ther one, and could create problems perhaps in a Bond movie, The models have to fit in the story so lot of the time choose less known, or upcoming models or actresses. And if they really go for a famous actress, she really has to have the Bond look. And if they choose a very famous supermodel like for instance Giselle, Adriana or Doutzen, the role would be really minor, like what Alessandra did. They are the pretty face that walks by, or the seductive woman in a casino. It would be pretty awesome if they would choose them. By the way I thought Giselle was pretty funny in the movie The Devil Wears Prada. They don't mind hiring models, indeed Olga K modelled, Femke Janssen modelled, Eva Green and Caterina Murino modelled. Almost all the Bond girls modelled. That's no surprise because they have to be super beautiful and sexy. But to have a bigger role as Bond girl, like what Eva Green did, they have to really have acting talent AND to have a specific Bond girl look. Bond girl don't have to look like supermodels, there are different requirements for that. Last I wanted to say that it's also about a voice of the model or actress. Doutzen, no matter how sexy she is, she doesn't have a very sexy voice. Her voice is sweet and innocent and sounds more girlish. Please correct me about my theory if I'm wrong. I know this hasn't always been the case, but I am also not a fan of all the Bond movies. I think Casino Royale was very good, and the last movie. But I didn't like the movie with Halle Berry.

Do you mean that in Bond movies they mainly casted models to play Bond girls and nowadays they cast more actresses, who may have started their career as models? Or did you completely mean something else.

just watched some clips on youtube, I tend to agree now and I have to take my words back. I remembered her talking very monotonous. But now after rewatching it, I realize the man she falls in love with in the movie speaks even more monotonously than her. It's just the whole script is boring, the scenes are too long and boring, the sentences are worthless, the music sucked and the whole movie is so bad, it makes it more difficult for a beginning actrice. Doutzen is actually the better actrice in the whole. Damn another thing that's so perfect about her. I guess it was a smart choice of Reinout Oerlemans the producer to take her, because it saved his shitty movie. Btw I guess as a model you have to already have SOME acting talent because you are basicly constantly playing roles in front of the camera. So it's quite understandable models choose an acting carreer.

Yes I agree. Of course the the angels work really hard. And nobody is calling them dumb or anything. And the Christmas commercial was bit stupid and cheap I agree, because Adriana is much more classy and doesn't even need more money from a man. But parodies are just about making something which is taken so very seriously, into something light and funny, it's a way to relativize it. Parodies can also be made about really good movies or series. Sometimes I watch parodies of some really good series I follow, and I still laugh even if it's my favorite show. Just filling the time here, until VS is going to release something about the show. Aren't the angels in the VS store in Bond street in december? Jealous of the people that live there and could potentially see them.

yes she didn't do too bad, but not really good. you probably don't speak or understand Dutch, but in my own language it sounds much worse. She she talked about the fact she played a beautiful doll in this movie and hoped to play someone 'ugly', and she really admires Charlize Theron in Monster. I didn't know she had that much offers, but perhaps she wasn't ready yet for acting back in the time. And I don't think they were really quality scripts. She is still doing HF a lot isn't she? She probably wants to first work on her acting and then hope she get substantial roles. She did say she isn't good enough yet for the really good movies, and has to work on that before she offers herself as an actrice to producers. I think all the supermodels want to be a Bond girl but it never happens. I have my own little theory about why they don't pick supermodels for Bond girls. A lot of people also question why Adriana has never been one.

Doutzen is into acting. She played in a totally forgettable movie called Nova Zembla. It was terrible, and don't ask what it was about. Her acting abilities are not to wright home about, but to be fair, it's only her first movie. She wants to continue acting and is taking lessons. She hopes she will get more offers in time.

omg I love sketches. I found this one one youtube, I really laughed about this. OMG that one is actually hilarious. It's amazing how spot on they were with some of the models. "Giselle"'s discussion about her awkward phase had me laughing so hard because it's so true. They always say "I was so tall and skinny," like is that a bad thing?! haha the "Miranda" was spot on too with the forced accent, fake flirtation, and the dumb comments hahaha They also captured Adriana's cheekiness and Ale's total oblivion sometimes hahaha And LMAO when they asked about each angel's favorite features and "Ale" said hands and "Lindsay" said lashes haha that is totally true. Funny that the actresses actually looked like the angels to some extent! The "Giselle" was spot on! I wish there was a "Candice" in it to talk about life on the dairy farm in South Africa. Yesss they should have put Candice in there, and call her Candy or something and let her talk really sloowwwww like she normally does, and indeed talk about South Africa. And Heidi Klum would also have been easy to imitate. I also coudn't stop laughing.

And that Gazelle is a genius hahaha, They really studied the angels very well, because they picked the things out that are sooo typical of how the angels talk, and what they say, and the fact they take themselves sooo serious. Also the fake modesty is hilarious, like the best part of my body is my big toe or something. A shame they didn't say something about confidence. Like: what makes me an angel, and what makes me sexy: it's confidence. I wish they really made a parody of the whole victoria's secret show, that would be great. But the fact she has to work harder on her figure and isn't a size 2, makes her more approachable to a lot of people. And that is also perfect and cool haha

If your country doesn't broadcast it you can quite soon watch it on youtube in HD. If you can connect your computer to the tv, it's just as good. I think it takes a few weeks until it's online.

^ that is much better indeed. Unless the model was already in the last walk they can't change that fast, but for the other models it is better to do a new outfit. Also it gives them a chance to again show another design. But I can't bear how bad the finale was in 2007, I mean the Christmas tree and alle the models in it. It was so cheesy.

I think Adriana is the prototype of a Bond girl, but don't think she will ever be one. In Bond history the woman that became Bond girl, were real actresses. I think Adriana has some talent in acting, but it probably isn't enough. Also the producers most of the time don't want a high profile model as Adriana. You would wonder why don't you, since she has everything that would make a Bond girl in tearms of appeareance. The producers always take a actress who already did some work or is an established actress. Aso her fame would perhaps overrule the movie or something. Adriana would look great on camera but a whole role is possible to much. Possibly a minor role would be good, for instance she could ne a beautiful woman in a casino that bond is trying to chat up. Also Adriana has to think of her reputation. She doesn't want to be the type of Bond girl that sleeps with Bond for one night, and then he leaves her alone in a hotel room. There are a lot of considerations to think about.

sorry can I say something. I can't get over how perfect Doutzen is and how perfect her life is. I mean she is: -a supermodel and in the top 5 of highest paid models (nice job, great carreer, and lot of money) -extremely beautiful and sexy, face+body is perfect -extremely succesfull and rich -super healthy, eats healthy and stays in good shape. -very kind, down to earth and intelligent, a great personality -popular and hip, everybody likes her from the 'normal' citizen to all the designers who hire her. -married to a beautiful and hot man who is also succesfull, and is a devoted husband -she has two beautiful children and is still young. She is the cool young hot mommie. -her pregnancies were great and popped back in shape in no time. -she had a wonderful childhood, growing up in nature and animals and a her parents had an organic garden. -she gets invited to cool parties in Miami, LA, and Ibiza, where all the celebrities come and she hangs out on yachts with celebrities and fellow Angels. -she can go to tropical islands and stay in luxurious resorts and villas, and she doens't have to save money to go on holiday. I mean can her live get any better? it should be illegal how perfect her life is. Wow my life sucks lol.

Totally agree! That's why the 2005 outfits were the best. It was mostly simple lingerie, with subtle themes and design elements (only exception was probably the 'Sexy Toys' segment). I honestly wouldn't even be mad if they copy/pasted the Christmas commercial outfits lol Don't mind all the extra elements, as long as they don't look like a peacock, OR look like a dancer in the Brazilian carnaval, OR have a circus outfit. All the feathers it's just too much. But I do like all the outfits corresponding a certain theme, but I agree they could do more of JUST lingerie, because that is in the end what you will be wearing.
