    These allegations are a direct result of a ranging civil suit filed by the US Department of Justice to recover ill-gotten gains from an allegedly fraudulent enterprise. The civil suit will almost certainly be followed by a criminal indictment at some point in the future. While Kerr isn't alleged to have broken any US laws, she may in fact be in possession of essentially stolen property, potentially a crime itself. As such, no competent lawyer would allow their client to issue any statement through their publicist until such a time that the litigation and potential criminal investigation are completed. If Kerr does issue a statement, look for it to come from her lawyer.
