Yeah, with the situation in Crimea, impending sanctions on Russia and every idiot in US war camp calling Putin a 'thug', 'Hitler'. They didnt dare call any of the Soviet leaders that. I don't think you know a lot about BM and what kind of crowd it attracts. Burning Man attracts a highly individualistic diverse artistic crowd Nope. It attracts rich snobs doing drugs and orgy while pretending they are in a Mad Max movie. Burning Man at start had a very interesting concept but it became too big for it's own good and became this self-indulgent, over-expensive crap.

OK, but why name them Angels then? Nothing is stopping VS to continue to work with these girls without any need to name them Angels. They have total monopoly over market. It's just a silly decision. Over the last 5 or so years they've been pumping girls into PINK and their mainline, waiting for someone to hit a magical mark, for someone to collectively make people go who is that. In 'recent' years Miranda and Candice had that interest peak, where after the show everyone was trying to figure out who they were but as of late no one has. Maybe it's because they're being lost in a sea of other new faces, with little screen time, and bad editing. Who knows, but at this point I wouldn't be surprised if they are giving these 10 girls "Angel" contracts to try and see who sells the best to the public. As for the devaluation of the term Angel that was already done years ago. Not even by the company but instead by media who was attributing the term to every girl who worked for them. I would probably say that these girls were all contracted for a year for 2-5 hundred thousand with the hopes of being picked up for a 1-2 million dollar contract if they sell. Unfortunately unless they really push their outward branching into Europe some of the girls they've picked up in this shopping spree will probably be dropped contractually after a year. The company wants the best, they are the biggest lingerie retailer in the world, and in order to retain that status they have, they need the best. Their biggest problem is they're trying to retain a high fashion/commercial model cross over which isn't always viable when you're selling lingerie. I don't disagree with anything that you wrote. bold part: I know but I was hoping that they would work on fixing that issue but they made it even worse. I have no idea how are they planning to sell all these girls to consumers. And I think you're right on the contract pricing, being Angel is probably very cheap these days but is it better for a company to have 4-5 better paid girls or 10+ lower paid (if it sums up to the roughly same amount of money)?

There is no reason why these girls couldn't have continued to work for VS normally. It's not like VS has some competition so they have to hoard the talent. This just continues to devalue the stature of an Angel. I just don't get it. It's a PR nightmare too.
