That shoot in the Virgins is the athlete shoot I believe. Assume the African-American girl we saw hints of is WNBA player Skyler Diggins.

As for disappointed designers, I'd say that's nothing new and just the nature of the business. I remember the 1982 Letter from the Publisher has this paragraph: "Three of the suits were custom-made from a single square yard of a scarce silvery fabric called Skilab. The only square yard available was in Italy; designer Monika Tilley had the fabric flown to New York and then transferred to a flight for San Diego, where she made the suits. Campbell had them the following evening. It was a satisfying accomplishment, which is fortunate, because none of the three suits made it into the magazine."

I like the cover. I'll admit I wish they would've swapped out Lily for Anne or Jessica G. for as long as they've been at it, but I understand wanting to have some new blood up front. It's nice to have a cover that isn't as expected. And Chrissy is gorgeous so you haters feel free to keep on hating.

BTW, while i agree with MJ that this is the best rookie class ever, she should know that 12 rookies is not a record. the concept of rookies was introduced in 1999 and the very next year had 15 rookies: elsa benitez, kylie bax, kristy hinze, malia jones, malania knauss, shakara ledard, ana paula lemes, naoemie lenoir, josie maran, carre otis, gabrielle reece, rachel roberts, molly sims, and estella warren Where do you get that the concept of rookies was introduced in 1999?

Valerie said it's her birthday tomorrow, so I'd imagine she's tomorrow's rookie reveal.

I'd be fine with Chrissy if was a good picture. This pic of her in the Seychelles for 2012 that was infinitely better than Kate's cover.

There's no reason to assume this, but wondering if there's a chance that the unknown rookie might be Chanel Iman? She was absent from twitter and instagram the week they were shooting at the location without wifi in November. Just seems like a big coincidence. Just saw that she was on plane with Heidy de la Rosa on Nov 6 on Heidy's instagram. So probably not. But who knows.

Not to be a downer, but can I just say that i'm a little bummed that out of 12 rookies, where 11 of them have supposedly been identified, there's not a single african-american? Hopefully #12 brings a little diversity to the mix. Not that I have anything against 3 Dutch blondes.
