  1. WHIP OUT THE POPCORN! om nom nom nom tasty butter. *eagerly anticpates rejection*
  2. Mando Diao anyone? They're not bad...not a big fan of the new album but can definitely listen to their older stuff Also, of Montreal is enjoyable...but totally wierd...kinda like Architecture in Helsinki maybe? Can't find a suitable comparison. Otherwise, if you like chipmunks then try math rock/ experimental band Battles. They're good if you're willing to listen to the album a couple of times. Disclaimer: These bands are not for everyone. Hell they probably aren't for most people, so don't blame me if you don't like them

There's this new show called VILLAINS and it stars all the stars from Heroes and is even created by the same guy. It's freaky because it picks up where Heroes left off

Only seen the game against Atletico but if that was anything to go by they're playing pretty well, though the football is nowhere close to the awesomeness of Rijkaard's team. Nevertheless, they have some good plays in and around the box and they seem to have found a vigour in defence, applying pressure in numbers, making passing football harder to play. I think they could win La Liga this year and make it far in the Champions League, but not sure how they's stack up against the English teams

^ Agree about the Champions League. We've seen the strengthening of clubs like Schalke and Werder that are there abouts but can't seem to make the next step. We've seen Juve bow out because of Calciopoli and Ajax and PSV decline in status too. Lyon are the perennial underachievers in Europe. And where have Sparta Prague et al. gone? That being said, this Champions League seemed weaker than most years at first glance with teams I'd never known before like Cluj, BATE Borisov and Anorthosis but they have been surprised me tbh.

I wouldn't bother too much about knowing the difference, but its good to bear in mind that one of the most prized competitions is the domestic league title. About the cups, once you start watching you'll learn about them and it'll make more sense. Do you like Cristiano Ronaldo? and Kaka? You should have no problem catching games with English commentary on American channels because they GolTV and ESPN air most of the games from many of the top European Leagues. For you information, the top three leagues in Europe are the English Premier League, Spanish Primera Liga (often referred to as "La Liga"), and the Italian Calcio (referred to as the Serie A). The next tier in league rankings is German Bundesliga, Dutch Eredivisie and French Ligue 1. If you want to watch European football (which most of us discuss here) then I suggest you watch more of the Spanish, English or Italian leagues it can't be helped I guess... money talks
  22. I'm loving Los Campesinos! at the moment! it's FUN FUN FUN music  not sure if they're classified as well known though... It seems like good music is getting harder and harder to find

Are you a fan of any one club or are you just learning about the sport at the moment? Soccernet.com > Live Scores > Find your game > Click on the kick-off time in the top right corner A little window should pop up and give you the times for different timezones They being the English aurthorities and TV channels because they don't get subscriptions if people stream for free. Damn corporations! :persuazn:
