A nation mourned when he died. I loved how he ran without the ball and dragged the defenders away. I'd argue that Maradona was a better player than Pele in most regards as well. Then again I just watch compilation footage. I never got the chance to watch them play a whole season, but based on compilations and documentaries I think Maradona was the better player.

So he's only suspended for one match? For a red?

It's so hard to buy a pair of decent jeans nowadays. All I want is a pair of normal quality jeans. No bleaching, no rips, no stupid designs <_< I hate Tsubi jeans <_<

My annual 3 months of depression coincides with the end of the football season There there. Several smaller leagues kick off their seasons at the beginning or middle of August. We have the A league here

Intelligence in a player is worth much more than physical attributes That is my belief. Of course its only true to a limited degree though, as witnessed in Luis Garcia. Smart little man, but can't pull off his tricks and passes If it's true that Henry gets bored easily, it'd be a pity. That means he'd never be able to play in Barca when they start slowing the play. Not that it matter anymore...

sorry it should've been 7 goals if you count the one against Brasil...right?

Henry only scored 3 goals in 1998 and 3 in these ones right? France went out without scoring a single goal in 2002 didn't they? So in 6 goals he's only provided one assist?

Sad like everyone else. Maybe except Leverkusen supporters. No, actually if my team were denied a Champions League title by something as spectacular as his goal, I'd feel pretty privileged...in some sad twisted sort of way He hasn't be performing the past few seasons but if you aren't saddened by his retirement, then you're not really a fan of football. I hope he continues his form and retires with another World Cup. It'd be a fitting end for a legend Apparently Marseille rejected him when he was young because "he was too fat" FOOLS :|

You must bear in mind that it is not easy to compare between players from other periods. There was not as much technology back then as there were nowadays, which is why their skills didn't seem to be as tricky. I'd like to see what Henry could do with yesteryear's boots and those balls which weigh a ton. I guarantee you he won't be able to pull off half the stuff he does nowadays. And that's also a reason why you have to respect the greats from those times. They shone through using that kind of equipment

I don't think it was a problem of they didn't play, but more a problem of they couldn't play. Ronaldo, Adriano and Robinho had terrible club seasons and Ronnie (like Lamps) lost his form in the latter stages of the season. Parreira played an over defensive game with no aces up his sleeve. He played the names and not the players and consquently payed for it.

The world of football is not for us mortals to understand... I like the sig as well, but I don't like the FFF thingy and the star gets in the way of the footage too

They're South American... 1 in every 10 kids could be a superstar if they weren't so poor...the talent they have all around the place is amazing. In Brasil, some kids juggle coconuts  Not sure if that's the case in Argentina though.

They thought they needed a challenge considering Barca and Madrid are too crap to keep them from another Spanish title. In Europe they have Liverpool in their way, so they consider that a big enough challenge Seriously, I have no idea but I feel like killing some Valencia board members. :knives:
