I'd say Lucio and Gallas. Those 2 are class (Y) I'm tempted to put Puyol in there as well as he's really good and hard-working but he's still a bit rash. Sergio Ramos is definitely very impressive for Real and Spain but he's still a bit raw. He's got bucketloads of potential though

People speak about how teams "deserve" to win a match and if that's the case I think Australia would've beat Italy if the game went into extra-time but, as much as it pains me to say it, Italy did deserve the penalty. Anyway, Blatter is an ass. I hate him! He's done nothing for football :avada:

No doubt he's quality! 2 years ago my dream centrebacks were Cannavaro and Nesta. They've lost their spots since then, but they're still in the shortlist though There's no replacement for class. I haven't heard much from Nesta for the past 2 years or so. He's been very quiet. Then again I mostly look at EPL and La Liga related news

I'd classify BZ as another stupid trend I don't know what happened I just got bored of BZ for a while I guess. It was kind of dying and becoming a bit stale, but ever since the revolution I've been back Not in the models' section though, but just hanging around trying not to do homework pretty much and talking crap (evidently)

I just saw a goal from Bresciano against Milan. Was that last week or something? Well anyway, Nesta was in position to intercept the thru ball, but instead of attacking the ball he moved backwards and let Bresciano steal in to take the ball and score. What's wrong with him nowadays?

I mean I expected us to be challenging for the title but it seems we're still a bit short of where Rafa wants us to be. Valencia was a great time for him (I support them as well) because they really were great. I still think that the year we (Valencia) won the UEFA Cup, we could've won the Champions League. We were so solid and played so well, we could've taken on any of the big boys in Europe. As for the attacking options, I think they've kind of disrupted the balance a little because our playing lines are being caught too far apart. It's the job of the defenders to push up but they're a bit out of sorts at the moment. Moreover, the likes of Aurelio and Riise are being caught out of position a lot this season and the midfielders just seem to be everywhere when they're defending. There's no structure and organisation when we defend, unlike last season when it was evident how organised the defense was. To be fair though, last year was a one-off in defense and I don't expect us to replicate anything like that in the near future. I think once we can get the balance right between when to attack and when to defend, we can do really well.

I totally agree (Y)(Y) there are no more ladies, just skanks you know what is hot? Summer dresses. No one wears summer dresses anymore. They all wear jeans and minskirts. I'm cool with that but I'd like to see more dresses being worn. *slips on a dress*- Stupid Trends
coming from you .... that's rubbish, we all know men prefer and want to see bare legs over leggings when it comes to short skirts :brows: that's why I hate leggings? I much prefer bare legs I meant wear nothing as in when they were nothing over their leggings and show everyone their cameltoe- Football
I don't blame it on rotation. Afterall, rotation is a consequence of the high-tempo and long seasons of modern day football. No team could be successful playing the same 15 players for a whole season. Sure Rafa's rotating sometimes seemsa bit out of hand but he's rotated since he came and we've won 4/6 finals. People just try to find an easy answer like "stick Gerrard back in the middle" and "stop rotating", but that won't solve our problems. It has nothing to do with our rotation and more to do with the players' mentality when we travel. We don't have the crowd behind us and I think the players don't seem to resond as well because of that. Rotation will benefit us, but as you said, we've lost too much ground already. If we hit the ground running then rotation would've been the difference during the run-in. I'm a supporter of rotation and I think it's effective as long you know how to use it. For now though, I'd rather see Rafa rotating less. I'd rather see a core of players (approx. 6-8) playing week-in, week-out until we find a bit of consistency. At the moment it seems no one is assured their place besides Carra and Pepe and to a lesser extent, Gerrard. A note on the Gerrard issue. I think he's fine on the right to be honest. I would like to see him playing in the middle but whenever he does he plays at the top of a midfield triangle that denies him any space. If you watch him play in the middle now, he's not coming back down the field and he's vulnerable to the pressure exerted from the opponent midfielders. If he's to play midfield again, he'll need to start running down and getting a bit of space to work with. On the right he has less pressure and he can stay upfield. When he has the ball he can provide or he has the option of cutting in to take shots and runs. Frankly I'd like to see a rotating triangle supporting a lone striker with Harry-Stevie-Luis. When they played, the wingers got their job done but they could all switch positions and play comfortable no matter where they were. They could all take long shots and cross and their constant position switching was awesome to watch unless you happen to be a defender.- Football

Its our away form that has caused all the problems. We had one of the best home forms in the league. We've got 2 more home games succcessively I think, so hopefully we'll get our season back on track. I've not much hope for a title, but we need to finish 4th :| Liverpool 3-1 Aston Villa but we still had to concede 1 sitting on a 3 goal lead <_< Anyway what team do you support Pammy? - Stupid Trends
