I think Adriana got plenty of coverage this year, with the commercial segment basically being about her. I'm tired of people whining about her getting shafted this year...she didn't. There is no reason to shove her in everyone's face, most people know who she is so why keep repeating the same old same old. She's not going anywhere for a few years, but people don't need to be told that on broadcast. She opened the show, they showed that, they went on and on about her superbowl commercial from '08 it was enough. Honestly, they had other things to talk about the fact they needed to bring up a almost 5 year commercial was a little ridiculous. The fact there was no music outside of the Circus theme, that wasn't provided by the musical guests was just over the top and got old half-way through. I miss the re-mixes, and have since said goodbye to them but no music outside of the guests is just beyond stupid. I'm not a fan of Candice, I think the segment right before the Fantasy Bra segment was just ill planned. VS is trying so hard to make Candice happen, and it's not really catching on. The girls who are the most famous, kind of caught on overnight...Adriana, Ale, Gisele, Heidi, and hell even Behati now with her H5-o appearance. But VS is going to keep trying until they find something better *cough Barbara* my guess is Candice is going to get pushed aside as they try and pimp out Barbara here in the next year or so, but we'll see. It's obvious Ale is on her way out, the fact they cut her from the Christmas commercials and the lack of coverage from Ale in the show, is another tall tell sign. I think Ale will be fine when she leaves VS, I think at this point all Adriana has is VS so I'm sure that's why she's holding on because somewhere she knows when she leaves after her contract (I think in 2 years) her career will most likely be done. Ale, keeps booking editorials and etc so we'll see. The show overall was on the same level as 2009 IMO it wasn't any worse or any better...it honestly felt like a hot mess. Mag, I tend to agree. The group I watched it with, liked it...it was women in lingerie! Outside of fashion forums and etc it generally was a hit with people. I think people here (me included) know VS could do better in comparison so that's why I personally get frustrated.

I love how every year someone swears up and down its Adriana's last year when it's clearly not. Every year. It's laughable really Time will tell who's really leaving, and who's staying.

VS filmed the bra at the same location as the commercials and Ale didn't show up till the day after the girls, so maybe Ale was never meant to be in the commercial. Just because in the past VS has done something doesn't mean they're obligated by law to do it the same every year like they've done for the last 6 years. Times change, the economy changes and business plans need to adapt. Not every Angel needs to be in every commercial, photoshoot, and or event to still be an angel. And I don't think VS told Ale to have an impromptu moment backstage. Doesn't make any sense to tell her to say "See you next year" if she's leaving... unless VS is the biggest troll ever. lolz #yolo #goodbyeale <--- ??? And I'm still unsure of why "insiders" would be so unprofessional that they would tell people on facebook, twitter or fashion forums when a model's contract is up, when they're renewing, or even how much money they make. That's not how businesses work. Releasing that kind of information is grounds for a lawsuit and firing if it ever made the media. btw Far Cry 3 is more entertaining then the VSFS this year.

The fact is they already did a Candice segment just like that one back in 2010. It's not the fans we don't like...at least not me it's the fact I don't like someone shoved in my face all the time, esp when the other girls deserve the attention. It was right before the fantasy bra...sorry it should have been Ale's segment (esp with her leaving)

It's not personally that I find her unattractive (at least when she's not smiling) but the fact is, ANYONE that was shoved down your throat as often as she is...anyone would get sick of her. The covers, the websites, the launches, the flyers, the store windows, the segments after segments..esp when models like Adriana or Ale have been there so long (esp right before the fantasy bra) or even Lindsay, or Lily or anyone who deserves just as much attention it's enough already. I know several guys who liked her a while back but are now soooo sick of her. Hell a guy I watched the show with tonight said "You know, she's like that chick you banged that no matter what she just won't leave you the hell alone afterward" yea. It's kind of like that. I've been a fan of VS for over 15 years and have never seen this kind of ass-kissing before from this company. They didn't have to shove Heidi, Tyra, Gisele, Adriana, Alessandra down our throats for us to like them...they just caught on and at this point it's overkill.

Honestly who is this chick blowing?? I'm a fan of Adriana but if they did half as much of this I'd be sick of her. Agree about Ale, they wouldn't cut her otherwise.

Seriously?!?!?! Is everyone gagging??? Didn't we do this in 2010??? They've never even done this for some of their biggest angels! ESP in the segment PRIOR to the fantasy bra.?!? Really?

Did they really just try and remake the most perfect holiday commercial ever (2005)?!?!? Wait...yes they did and...fail.

I say the follwing as a fan of Adriana's, Enough is enough. The woman is "seen" maybe 4 times a year. I understand she is a Mother, and she likes to blame that for the reason she's not at any of these things but honestly, so is Gisele, Alessandra, Lily and the list goes on and on. It's pathetic and just flat out wrong that she has some of the most dedicated fans, but these same fans only get updates maybe 5 times a year. She never posts a photo on twitter (outside of random things nobody wants to see and a few of her working out) she hides her children, I understand privacy but this is BEYOND ridiculous. Most models, would DIE to be in this calendar let alone be allowed in it once pregnant and she decides to "blow off" the launch. I follow other models and celebs, and when their name is in a press release to appear somewhere I don't find myself wondering if it will actually happen and/or taking it with a grain of salt. Honestly, I have been fan for over 10 years and have seen her do this over and over (even before she got married) and it's tiring as a fan. Honestly if she wants to be a model or an icon she needs to work at it, if she wants to retire...then retire but stop picking and choosing and "Gracing us" with her presence.

Sigh. Thanks for pointing out my opinion was pointless... What I was simply saying or implying was more "work" Adriana, and Alessandra both had much more runway, and editorial work under their belt before signing with VS, when they did sign with VS they were with the company many years under Tyra and Heidi earning their own "Fame" with the public with it slowly growing over the years. Miranda walked once in the VS show, wasn't really that big of a hit...started dating Orlando and BOOM she was everywhere. Again, I wasn't claiming they were brain surgeons...it was just simply my opinion. ABBfan I understand what you are saying and agree on what you are saying. I wasn't claiming they were trying to be anything more than talking hangers...my point was only that Adriana, Ale, Doutzen and the likes of them (even Candice as much as I hate to admit it) all have worked themselves to the top on their own merit. They didn't ride someone's coattails to get there, they didn't all of a sudden become more famous than they were because of who they were sharing a bed with...all I was trying to say Plus I didn't really mean she felt awkward of course she didn't...I was being sarcastic...oi

I think people forget (newer fans) that these girls WORK together, just like regular people who work with other people. I speak to people at work but am not really friends with them, although there are a few I tend to get along with better than others. I think people overestimate the relationship between Ale and Adriana. I don't think their friends in the least bit outside of what they have to do with work. Adriana and Ale are SO different from each other it's hilarious if you look at it, why people would assume they would be friends is beyond me. I think the only time they were "friends" was back in 00-02 when they were the new girls and had to stick together anyway. Adriana and Doutzen seem to be very close, twitter, adriana's private facebook and etc they're always talking and interacting, same with Erin and Adriana. Ale's best "model friends" tend to be Izabel and Ana, possibly Lily, but I think the Lily friendship is more of a "hey you doing anything" "no, you?" "No, wanna go out?" more of a friendship of convenience. Miranda doesn't really seem to get along with anyone, she seems to put on a good show though. The reason people assume Candice doesn't get along with Ale and Dri is because people who work with the girls say Candice has never been overly kind to either one, so I doubt they're kind back. Like I said at the end of the day this is their job and they're all fighting to be on that "Angel" roster, I don't think any of them are as good of friends as VS wants us to believe. I think they get along because they have to, they are at work and it's as simple as that. Personally I'd like to see one of these girls bitch slap each other at an event just to make it interesting for once.

Also the VS event on the 19th.

Fandom aside, I will say that I think it is beyond ridiculous she can't dress HERSELF with some style after fifteen years in the buisness. To have a stylist you also need to be able to pull rank when need be and still be okay on your own. Alessandra, Gisele and many more models look impeccable out and about every day. I've never seen Adriana out on the street and thought her outfit looked amazing. She has been in the fashion buisness for a long time and the fact she can't hardly dress herself is disconcerting.

On another note, I'm quite tired of the lack of PR events before the show. IMO that was one of the best parts, and one of the most exciting. Now, normally I would think Sandy had something to do with it this year but with the events missing last year and them doing IMO a poor excuse of one in 2010 I'm guessing there just wasn't any scheduled. I tend to agree. I myself have some Native American blood in me (Cheyenne to be exact) and I did not find the outfit in the least bit offensive. Now, if we were to get technical her motion with her hand over her mouth (War-whoop *rolls eyes*) and her "How" sign was more offensive than anything, but from what I've seen she didn't seem to do that in the second taping. While I tend to be what most would call liberal I do feel we whine about things way to often. I find it ironic that this seemed to offend so many while Emanuela's outfit with the body paint last year didn't seem to offend anyone...
