From first glance, Lauren Remington Platt appears to have it all. Statuesque, poised and intelligent, she looks more Westport, Conn., than West Village. Graduating from Columbia University in 2006, Platt became a research analyst at a hedge fund. Swapping out her Chanel jackets for chaos theory, long hours at the office left Platt only minutes and a mascara wand before hitting the benefit circuit post-work. This prompted the platinum-haired beauty to start Vênsette.com, a members-only Web site that allows its users to select from pre-styled hair and makeup options, starting at $250 for in-home visits by professional hair and makeup artists. Makeup options range from a natural, sun-kissed look to red-lipped Grace Kelly regalness, while hair styles run the gamut from a slicked-back ponytail (The Tribeca) to a classic, iron-straight middle part à la Gwyneth Paltrow at the Oscars. With an international gaggle of good-looking clients that include the model Anouk Lepere and Monaco royal Charlotte Casiraghi, who better than Platt to tell you how to put your best face forward.
