well yes and no the reason i believe they were so successful was because they actually gave formal nick names to the girls. Not just....the brunet the blonde.....they had characters they played. SO it was more like dress up....and you could say oh im baby the innocent one...or im sporty the athletic one...and that made all the difference in their success...since any girl group can havea bunch of different girls with different hair colours. Although i dont know that much about PCD or that other group(never heard of) maybe they do do that. SPICE FOR LIFE!

it was such a genious idea. not just the girl group and the saying girl power but how they made characters for each girl...it gave them so much marketing ploy's they could do. The best part was everyone could find their favourite nad be able to relate to them but they were all good even if you didnt like certain ones. I could relate to victoria cause i always wanted to be glam like that...but i loved the other ones. And my red head friend loved the sexy red girl...its was just a such a good marketing tool...but it was just fun great music.

your right their has been a big difference since has halle's oscar. I wasnt really expecting a big change in the industry because i dont think of it as omg a black women won her first oscar. I just see it as halle won an oscar cause she was the best. I really feel like its all about trends though :| ...like black models were "trendy" for while and now its black actress'...it was asian models for a while. but i dont understand why it cant just be like ok he or she is the best....hire them....obviously certain parts require you to be of a certain ethnicity but i dont get why it has to be made in to such a big issue about what race you are. you know? But hopefully it changes permanently instead of whats "trendy"...they just have a staple of a mix of all different races in all types of media. Especially modeling since acting is a bit different cause sometimes the part just calls for a white person...like if their playing troy or soemthing like that. yah she does look awesome in those pics. LIKE A REAL MODEL IN A MAGAZINE (like its supposed to be) i love the one with the floral dress and aviator's she is just selling that. She sings in french??? Where in song about? ...or just the "voulez vous couchez avec moi"?...all that means is do you want sleep (lay) with me. But let me know if their is anymore french and ill trasnlate it. I remember seing her in concert in her genie days when she first came out...she was so innocent and young but still you could see alot of potential she danced and sang and she was really entertaining even at like 19...then she waved to me(only me) after the show.
