i think selita is super gorgeous too and i would use her but its always seems like they just use ethnic girls when they feel like it to show a good example as aposed to actually thinking they are beautiful. its super obvious in advertisments and here. but i donno the answer either.

well at first it was tyra, cindy crawford and tyson beckford....then i saw naomi walk....then i saw video of adriana posing for VS and it was all over i was hooked. it wasnt so much one "model moment" but it grew and grew and grew. I never really liked cindy that much but i knew who she was....and of course she is beautiful. but it was more tyra, naomi and tyson....adriana just cemented. I MEAN COMMON SHE IS ADRIANA F*CKING LIMA!!! their was actualy quite a few more like elsa benitez, petra, ana b, ale, gisele, josie maran, estella warren, nichole robinson, the european supermodels cover of vanity fair juliana martins....the guess ads with megan and adriana. that was like the final straw.

the indsutry and the fact that they dont promote "ehtnic minorites" in ad or runways. Its rare to see them. When is the last time you saw one in an ad for versace?.....not since the 80's. Fendi never, gucci never, hermes like never. They used ujwala raut for YSl like a long time ago but she does not look very indian they also used a asian girl in the pantene ads but she was so white looking and aibrushed mind you they even airbrush doutzen to look more "euro"....what about prada...i dont think i've ever seen one in a prada ad. ....maybe once. DOnt you think its kind of wierd that being an ethnic minority our selves we are the ones most often represented as beautiful? Naomi and Tyra were pretty much the only girls that were represented for "minorities"....and their hasnt been any big names since.....selita doesnt even count she is so whitebread and they just use her as the one token black girl for the angels.

personaly i remember the clothing better when it's being "worked"....if the girl is so thin and looks bored to be there it makes the clothes look boring. i also like "perfect type" models cause they are supposed to be "the model of beauty"....and i find them much more versatile cause they can appeal to men and women and wear swimsuits or couture or whatever. imo
