CALVIN'S JITNEY BONUS: Call it Calvin's way of occupying the seemingly endless amount of time it takes... ByWWD STAFF JULY 27, 2001, 12:00AM CALVIN’S JITNEY BONUS: Call it Calvin’s way of occupying the seemingly endless amount of time it takes to get to the beach. New Yorkers heading out to the Hamptons on the Jitneys today will have something extra to keep them busy on the way: a goodie bag packed with Calvin Klein cosmetics and fragrances. MODEL TWOSOME: Supermodel Valeria Mazza has added a second fragrance to her signature brand. The scent, called CyberStar by Valeria, is slated to arrive in Sephora and other specialty store doors in the U.S. in September. Initial distribution will include 60 doors, but there are plans to expand that number to 100 by yearend. The Valeria Mazza Collection currently features Valeria Cosmetics, a color cosmetics collection launched last year, and the inaugural Valeria Eau de Parfum, which bowed in 1998. A 50-ml. bottle of CyberStar will retail in the U.S. for $35, and a 30-ml. bottle will cost $28. The largest market for the brand is Mazza’s native Argentina, where it is present in 200 doors.

MODEL MAKES BEAUTY HER FAMILY BUSINESS Byline: Laura Klepacki NEW YORK -- Seated at a conference table with her business... By WWD STAFFPlus Icon JUNE 23, 2000, 12:00AM NEW YORK — Seated at a conference table with her business partner/husband and her product distributor, Argentine supermodel Valeria Mazza was prepared to talk about her latest venture — the introduction of a 60-item cosmetics collection. While game to chat, she had to be somewhat succinct: next on her day’s agenda was a very important lunch date. Her one-year-old son, Balthazar, was waiting to be taken out. If not the direct inspiration for the Valeria Mazza collection, little Balthazar was certainly a catalyst for its creation. For what’s a cover girl and television personality to do during nine months of pregnancy? The green-eyed blonde had already introduced a signature scent — a light floral fragrance — two years ago. Even then, she and husband Alejandro Gravier wanted the enterprise to evolve into a long-term sustainable beauty business. “It was the right time to do the line,” recalled Mazza, who at 27 still possesses the fresh-faced look of a teenager. “I was in Argentina and had time by myself to see colors and look for packaging.” She said she tapped makeup artists, friends and family members for input. The result is a moderately priced set — $14 to $29 — slated to debut in U.S. Sephora stores in September. Developed with the teen market in mind, the line contains lipsticks in 14 shades, lip lacquer, lip shimmer duos (pot glosses), lip liners, eyeliners, powder eye shadow in singles, duos and quads and mascara. In face, it offers a water-based moisturizing liquid foundation in three shades, powder blush in four shades, along with a bronzer, two concealers, a pressed powder and a loose powder. There will be seasonal shade statements, as well as makeup tips included with each item. In-store and packaging materials are violet and white like the fragrance. The cosmetics components have a silver matte finish with see-through lids. Even the lipstick tubes feature a window on the end revealing product color. “Violet is my favorite color and I love silver,” said Mazza, who pieced the collection together, mixing and matching components and refining shades. “It was not easy to put all the components together. Up until last week, we didn’t have the pressed powder components, and a silver cap for the foundation was hard to come by. I wanted the line to stay authentic to my personality.” In addition to breaking in Sephora’s major markets like New York, Miami and Los Angeles, the collection will be available on a new Web site, AMbeauty.com, this fall. The fragrance has already been available online through Valeria.com, a publicity-oriented site. Promotional plans will likely include in-store appearances, along with traditional print ads, and in Miami, some outdoor advertising, according to Fred Weinert, president of San Telmo, the Barrington, Ill.-based distributor who helped with the fragrance launch and now the cosmetics line. Weinert said the company thinks that Mazza’s beauty collection, including the fragrance, could reach wholesale volumes of $8 million to $10 million by yearend 2001, split between the U.S. and international markets. Alone, the fragrance, now in 32 countries, has wholesale volume of about $4 million a year. Beginning with the Sephora launch, the company plans a paced approach to the cosmetics rollout and will make decisions as it goes. “We are not in it for the short term,” stressed Gravier. “We are looking for steady growth.” At the same time, Gravier and Mazza are striving to balance their personal life. “It’s been very hard to organize my mommy life and my work life,” acknowledged Mazza, who with help from her family and a personal assistant, took to the road with Balthazar by the time he was three months old. “To travel with him was very terrible.”

Hi, Ariana! I've been checking the paramount website global and geographic area. Here in south america, they got an agreement with no additional cost with my cable company! So I can access to the streamings/contents for free. The thing is, I don't know how to record from tv to computer but I can try to figure it out these days. Maybe I can get access through the website (the paramount portal or my cable company website) and use some program on my computer to record it. I will try to figure this out before October 8 (the day when the content will be available). The post that Valeria uploaded is very beautiful, many unknown images and footage archive.

The show began with white coats and mini skirt suits paired with turtleneck sweaters, later these styles were mirrored in knit. Other styles included jackets, leggings, mini dresses and sweater vests. Further texture was added with the use of lace panels on knitted garments. Models wore cream, white and gray pantyhose with variations in lace. The color palette remained mainly white and neutral expanding to include black, red, and blue.
