apologies for the double post, but The Wolf of Wall Street was named one of the best films of the year by the National Board of Review. It also looks like Leo and Scorsese won the Spotlight Award for their "Career Collaboration". i think a lot of the male nudity is what ended up getting cut out of the film to avoid the NC-17 rating. apparently there are incredibly strict rules regarding what can/cannot be shown in an R-rated film re: male nudity. archaic rating system, such a shame its still the only authority on film rating. also the orgy/threesome was probably trimmed too. if the glimpse at it is disturbing can you imagine the scene in its entirety? god i'm so excited haha

i love his hair styled like that, i wonder if he'll keep it that length for the run of promotions or if he'll chop it/shave i also hope he keeps that red shirt, such a gooooood color

i have a feeling this promotional circuit will see leo being the most animated he's been in years. talking about a crazy role gives him more opportunity to joke around and be silly and let loose a little bit, especially if he's in any double interviews with jonah. i am so excited, i cannot say that enough

that tweet about leo complimenting jonah's improvisational skills is probably the most encouraging piece of news we could have hoped to receive on the film. goodfellas, which is widely known as one of marty's best works, was predominantly improvised and it contains some of the most quoted, iconic dialogue in film history. that being said, i hope wolf follows the same fate as goodfellas omg

i hope someone asks about a potential blooper reel and about what they cut in order to secure the R rating. more than that, IF LEO HAS ANY NUDE SCENES. you know, basic, vital questions!!!

a few details: I don’t get to see Martin Scorsese‘s The Wolf of Wall Street until Friday, December 6th, but the Hollywood Foreign Press Association will have a looksee the day after tomorrow (Sunday, 12.1) and the New York Film Critics Circle, I’m informed, will see it a day later (Monday, 12.2). Presumably the National Board of Review will have a screening before voting also. LAFCA will catch it on Friday night. it's a shame that sex is rated more harshly than violence. like it's been said, i really hope the eventual blu ray release includes some kind of directors cut/uncensored version because i want to see this movie in all its vulgar glory. i also can't wait for the official reviews. can't believe they set the embargo for so close to the general release date, it's barely a week long window! so excited though, so so so so so excited

wolf seems to have clocked in a 2 hours 59 minutes. this makes it martin scorsese's longest film to date. exciting!!!!

wolf finally has a rating! from @TheFilmStage: Wolf of Wall Street is rated R for sequences of strong sexual content, graphic nudity, drug use & language throughout, & for some violence. hopefully the blu ray release features the supposed NC-17 cut of the film...or maybe the R was bc marty/the production company pushed for it in place of NC-17!

I feel the exact same way ...(cry) but really he deserves to meet someone he loves and start a family ...he can't be single forever ...we are going to have to let him go one day i just want leo to be happy and fulfilled. if that means he'll stay single, let him stay single. if he finds someone, even better! for me, i wouldn't mind seeing leo trying to push a baby stroller around with his hat pulled down over his face, lmao

maybe the fact that wolf is being marketed as a comedy will lead to leo finally hosting SNL. ultimate pipe dream for me right now, honestly. bonus points for jonah or margot making cameos. even marty!

i hope the main cast of wolf do Unscripted. i love those kinds of things and it'd be funny to have the big players involved. the only time leo does interviews with co-stars now is during press conferences, i'm pretty sure. i hope we get a few panels for wolf, i wouldn't mind that!
