Yeah, this dress is SO pretty and her body looks good in it too.
  2. ^ I didn't assume that. Adriana's team has always been crappy when it comes to handling her social media. Always. Even when she was with Society. They never did anything that controversial BUT they were never good at handling her social media and actually helping it. I think CAA's purpose is just to book her for events and jobs. But as the user above said, the OTHER people apart of her team whose job is to make sure her PR is good and social media is good, needs a BETTER understanding of today's climate. Can't be making posts like the one made with that braided wig. Its OBVIOUS there is a disconnect and Adriana either needs to replace people like that, or they must be willing to understand how to navigate being a public figure in 2021
  3. I honestly don’t think she made the caption herself, Adriana’s captions are literally more like her very cheesy, not on the problematic side at all. If not using some quote, she is saying something harmless and cheesy when it comes to her sharing random shots of herself . Examples would be her most recent ig post and the savage posts.

That's alot of makeup. I wish Patrickta would tone it down for once, Adriana looks better with lighter looks
  5. All people got out of that GQ interview was that she was a hot virgin. Thats literally it. Like when she gets asked about that interview through the years, and she has so many times, they don't ever bring up the prolife thing, its the virgin thing. That was clearly the focus of that interview and it was not seen as a bad thing. Like I said, people are just NOW bringing it up because people are more concerned with anything problematic linked to a celeb and it honestly is more controversial these days because its been in the news more. 2006 is just not the same as 2021. Which is the best point for all this mess.
  6. The GQ thing wasn't a BAD deal when she said. That gave her positive press for the most part. Its just the fact that its 2021, so people try make it a problem NOW. But back then that wasn't a real negative issue for her, neither was it ever something people brought up prior to NOW. She wouldn't be doing these events and stuff, nor the work she has done if she didn't have some kind of team. An active public figure always gonna have someone on their team. Its not the first time Adriana ignored controversy. That DOES seem to have been her thing in the past for messy rumors that weren't her fault and stuff. Or when she says things that were taken out of context. Adriana does have the habit to try to ignore it. Except for the James Charles shit and the "Bullying kendall and gigi hadid shit", why in the hell did she think it was important to respond to that mess and not this is beyond me. Literally GROUPS of people have an issue with that post not just one or two people, and news articles are actually writing about it. Here is how I feel about Adriana picking and choosing what she ignores and what she fixes, the other things weren't her fault before like the justin beieber and "starved diet" rumors. She didn't intentionally start that. Its okay to ignore things that you didn't start yourself. BUT the thing is, 1. That IG post and caption is clearly her and her team's fault and 2. The ignoring shit does not work anymore. If anything it makes her look worse. People think she doesn't care, and she may not. But thats a poor reflection of her and her values. Thats why I keep saying its 2021, this is not the era to do something messy and then ignore the response and backlash to it. Someone is failing to tell her and/or she is failing to see that. She won't be satisfied until she does something even worse that she won't be able to come back from and that will end up fucking up 20 years worth of having a good career and being known as a good person. Its like Adriana won't understand, until something like that happens. Then it would be too late and it will be very sad/disappointing
  7. Because they are either selfish or stupid. You can tell by the captions what Adriana posts and what they post. They made a bad move as a collective and don't want to take responsibility. Probably relying on people "forgetting" about it, which is stupid and clearly not working, she is gaining 1,000 BAD comments on that post everyday. Her savage x posts are NOT gaining that many comments. Anytime Adriana posts something people gonna go on her profile and see that shit. Its not gonna go away unless they do something about. Its basically going viral. There were literally NEWS ARTICLES written about it. They are delusional if they think it wasn't a big deal. Its incredibly odd anyone would let this happen to themselves or their client. I kinda think her team doesn't want to break down ALL the issues with the post to her (because its not just the wig) to spare themselves and everyone behind this. Which is incredibly selfish and stupid to let happen And I really want to know why Adriana is waiting at the end of her career to become so ignorant and bad with PR. Everybody else worries about how she looks as she gets older, i'm starting to worry about what goes on in her mind as she does. Because before 2018 there was not one damn thing that Adriana did herself that painted her in a "not good" light, but I can't say the same since 2018. Its like she has gotten sloppy about things and doesn't even care. The worst thing is, this is NOT the era to get sloppy about shit.
  8. Its the caption mostly in my opinion thats ignorant. Yes, Adriana herself has been pictured with braids alot. Nobody cares that damn much. But to call ANYTHING "urban chic" is damn near the definition of appropriation. Urban has stigma and racism and stuff tied to it. So for her caption to say she is making it chic, means she is making it "fashion" aka positive because of who she is, thats appropriation. I think if anything Adriana is thinking that she comes from a poor area herself in brazil surrounding by people of color, she may think its okay for HER to say that because she wasn't always rich and grew up poor. BUT she has been rich for like 20 years now. How she grew up is irrelevant now, she is now successful and wealthy and so it comes across insensitive to others and tone deaf. Plus, some people may not even know what Adriana life was like before she became wealthy. They just know she is now. This tweet sums it up (yes people are STILL talking about i) Its the caption thats really the problem & inconsiderate of people who STILL have to live an inconvenient urban life. Urban life is not "chic", its not glamorous, its not fun, its barely positive. Its honestly wrong and she def disappointed alot of people by not trying to fix it. Its def gonna make people start to doubt what good of a person she is. Because its not a good thing for people to think she doesn't care. Its insane she apparently doesn't have people who work for her that didn't try to prevent this or fix this.

I agree. I feel like since she had gotten older, people are just never satisfied because they KNOW she is older. If it was 2005, people wouldn't be talking like this. It sucks. I am annoyed at the social media situation, but physically I am def happy how Adriana has been looking right now. No obvious anti aging procedures, her lips look normal again. She honestly still has her SPARK and beautiful looks despite being 40. She is literally lucky to still have this spark that she does. She looks great and how you expect for her to look at this age.
  10. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's topic in Adriana Lima
She looked beautiful and normal to me… tough crowd . We have seen her with this hairtstyle before and her eyebrows like that before also not seeing how her eyes look tinier. She never had big wide eyes, they were always on the cat side and wouldn’t call this tiny
  11. Its been 24 hours and like I said she just did something else for savage. She literally has a REASON to be looking up media response. Its not like she would be randomly googling herself
  12. Because we are talking about celebrity
  13. Well like we keep saying, there is NO WAY Adriana is not aware of the articles written about her 24 hours later. No way, its not realistic. It doesn't matter where she is and who she with. Adriana is gonna know about it. Just like she actually knew about her nudes being shared online the whole time.
  14. So everybody except for Adriana herself doesn't realize how not good this is? WTF Like I said, she needs to fire whoever thought it was a good idea to post that photo and with that caption, there were so many others to choose from too. Adriana needs to understand its 2021, you can't just ignore everything especially something as insensitive as that
  15. Well thats not how you handle something like this. Liking comments mean nothing because nobody would even see that besides whoever comments you liked. And I don't feel bad for the stylist having to go private. I don't understand why don't they either remove that caption or remove the picture. If the dude who did this, is getting so much shit he makes his profile PRIVATE, why keep the post up, having his name in the caption and everything. This is almost bizarre to me how not smart they are being about this. Why is it so hard to choose another and better photo and take this one off? Why is it so hard to not be so controversial and insensitive? Why would she want to keep this up on her profile when its insensitive to people, she is getting hate/bad press for it AND the stylist is also getting hate for it. I just don't get it. The post is literally not benefiting anyone why not do the best thing for everybody?
  16. Because she always does that. My main point is, if she did not see the comments of people explaining to her why people say her post insensitive, she would ATLEAST be aware of the articles. She just worked with savage x fenty, thats PR for her, I would imagine she would try to see how that is going only to find people calling her racially insensitive
  17. EXACTLY, I thought of that as well. James Charles is not even a good person, and he didn't even follow Adriana back. This is way more serious and needs to be fixed and she does nothing. It makes no sense to me and its a bad look. She may not have seen those comments but we know she saw those articles. She should know better, very disappointing where her priorities seem to stand. Alot of people def feel like her lack of fixing the misunderstanding makes it seem like she doesn't care All I can say is sometimes Adriana is very slow to respond to these things. But who knows at this point. Like I said, she is ruining her reputation. I don't think the socks were in response to it, Adriana is not spiteful like that. BUT still not doing anything about that insensitive braids post is showing she doesn't care and alot of people in the comments are trying to explain to her why its wrong
  18. Did she not see her comments under that posts and these articles? Is she really okay with being painted in such a negative and bad light
  19. And this is why I said she needs to really fire her fucking team. Media are calling her post AND that caption racially insensitive. As I knew they would. https://www.instyle.com/celebrity/adriana-lima/adriana-lima-cultural-appropriation https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/internet-thoughts-adriana-limas-cultural-172925417.html WHY is it so hard for her team to do a good job with her social media page and educate themselves on how to approach it, in 2021. Why is it seriously so hard for them. Her appearance and REAL work for savage is being overshadowed by this shit. A post that didn't need to happen. Why couldn't they just share a better old photo of her work. She's in hot water when she didn't need to be. 20+ plus years of representing herself in a good light could crumble because she has a team who are half assed and refuse to handle her social media well.
  20. Its fucking ridiculous, she is a real and legit supermodel. I need for her and her team to remember that. Stop working with bad hairstylist and don't let your team post that tragic mess she did with that braid wig. People really did laugh/ridicule it if they didn't find it problematic. Like even the caption was wrong. She has that Savage work she just did, her team should be focus on that instead not some random old shoot with cringe wigs
  21. Exactly why I said her team is crappy AF. Instead of posting her from the savage fenty show they did this. I hope Adriana doesn't pay them that much and she gets a better team ASAP
  22. its culturally insensitive. WE know Adriana is actually mixed and self identified to afro brazilian culture anyway. BUT Adriana looks like a white woman to alot of people. Regardless if her hair isn't blonde. She still straightens it, and she rarely tans. So she is pale most of the time and she has light eyes and she makes sure her hair is bone straight. Thats why she gets compared to megan fox, an actual white woman. Therefore some people see her as a white woman because race is about how you LOOK to some people, not your real ethnicity and family break down. But your look and experience due to it. So to some people she is wearing her hair in a way that others literally get highly criticized for, there are people who get denied the right to graduate because their hair is like that, they can't get jobs, etc all because they wear their hair that way and are obviously of color. So when someone who people THINK are white does it, its like showing they can get away with wearing the same style- and they can. Its insensitive and I think the caption made it worse. To me that was the worst thing
  23. Okay, I agree, who ever is on Adriana's team now needs to be fired Her most recent post with that braided wig is actually controversial. Marc Jacob got dragged to hell and back for doing something like that with other models, its 2021-how can someone on her team not realize posting that look can be seen as problematic. Regardless of Adriana's ethnicity and cultural Identification. She's a public figure, she has to be careful about this. I am so over her having a crappy team that do her NO favors.
  24. I didn't see Irina posting about it neither But you shouldn't expect Adriana to do that when she never even do that for VS. She is not gonna post a 2 second clip of herself. When eventually a longer clip will be released and she can share that
