I totally agree with you, michelabella. Because being a good model has nothing to do with being popular and/or famous. These are completely different things. Talent and potential don't depend on the amount of your followers on Twitter. So I don't know why people keep comparing Adriana's and Alessandra's popularity with Candice's popularity. So maybe she has less fans, but does this make her worse as a model? No, not at all. Additionally (like michelabella said) her career just started two years ago, so she's quite new. You don't become the "ultra model" over night. Adriana und Alessandra had already ten years to get that popular. So those comparisons of popularity are just meaningless and also not very fair. And well, if everybody comes up with their personal experience, so I'll come up with mine now, too. Adriana, Alessandra and Miranda aren't well known here. (However, there isn't even a VS store in Germany.) I just know three people who know who Adriana is. But Ale and Miranda...? Never heard of. E.g. a few weeks ago, there was a poll on a German website that asked which model we like. A bunch of names was listed, including Adri, Ale & Miranda. 300 people took part, but hardly anybody knew them. They are just neither popular nor famous here in Germany. But the people here do know Gisele B�ndchen, but that's just because she's of German heritage. TKC, City of God is my favorite movie. It's amazing! But the City of God is just a district of Rio de Janeiro, isn't it, MissNKlovesphotograph? What about heidi? I know its random but I believe she is german right lol

Yeah and that may be her reason but that doesn't mean she doesn't usually go out looking for attention, we all know at times she does and can be like that I think it makes sense for Miranda to go to the golden globes... her husband is a actor. I think it makes sense for Rosie to go to the globes too, had she chosen to, considering she's dating an actor. Just like Anne V might go to the Grammys, same with Heidi for Seal (even though they're done for), but some models just over do it. Miranda does over do it with events sometimes, but for me- SI girls, Heidi, Ale, those are the girls that need to be photographed EVERYWHERE. it's ridiculous. Adriana used to go to more events when she was younger (not as many as ale does now, but more than adriana does in recent or current years), but in her mature years she doesn't need or crave the extra publicity and is content watching from home with her family. I love that about her. There's really no point for supermodels, or half the people that were there (kim k, kourtney k, heidi, etc) to be at the Oscars after party anyway. But oh well I already knew before the oscars even ended that I would see alessandra, heidi, and irina at the after party. They just can't stay away from the spot light. Yeah adriana isn't like any of them. And don't forget rosie has been in a movie! lol. Yeah and some of those model are the same models that share the most intimate details about their life and things like that all the time, thats something adriana hardly does. I think the most personal she has ever gotten was on Valentine's day on twitter. Ikr ale stays at the mtv awards and things like that. I give heidi more credit because she has her own little show also so I wouldn't mind. Irina..... <_< No she needs to go back where she came from OR work more on her actual modeling career so she can get on someone's runway.

It was the same day as the What is Sexy party. The launch had 5 models (Adriana, Ale, Miranda, Candice, Erin) but the signing just had Candice and Adriana. This was on the 12th of May last year. I was thinking that was it but I thought it would have had more pics....I guess not

City of god and also the follow up show called city of men.....I know its based more off of the slums part but the city in general intrigues me, gosh I wish I could go there right now. But my friend went there abroad last summer though Everyone opinion is their opinion but its literally like comparing apples and oranges lol. They are different in every freaking way possible. There is no denying though that when adriana/ale step down its gonna be candice I just hope she gets the attitude right. But unless its really necessary the comparing irks me. But when candice is with the other angels, like with the new line with erin and ale or with the valentines day, VS do have that balance. She wasn't shown too much which is good, and it should stay that way. But I guess every now and then a model has that moment when they are the face of one product. I think her thing was/is VS swim.

I'm tired of explaining it just candice needs to put some pep in her step, because seriously if she did she REALLY could be up there with gisele and adriana I think. 1. Those lists are based on activity and those two are older and those lists don't mean a thing honestly I never thought they did. Even when adriana was around candice age and she was voted number 1 and was in the top 10 for about 3 years, I still didn't think anything of that list. Idk about ale. Its nice for them to be on that list but I can care less about the actual rank. I'm fine with adriana and ale being on 70 whatever. you know that list don't mean anything because even those people who are on top of candice and adriana aren't any more desirable than them imo. I mean even CHANEL IMAN was on top of adriana and NICKI MINAJ was on top of candice AND adriana But beauty is subjective so it really doesn't matter either way it goes. Even on the ask page there were a number of people who commented and thought that candice was ranked to high.... I don't have an opinion about that because idc but it just shows you that everybody is different. Seriously it is REALLY irritating when you start to compare the models over subject shit Like beauty and stuff like that as if its suppose to prove something. And where were all of you that are comparing them when there was a poll between adriana and candice where adriana won by over 10 votes. Granted, the question was who was prettier, but obviously you all are candice fans you would have voted for candice anyway. That was the time to compare candice and adriana. Unless you was on there and you did vote and adriana still won then...... You can also believe what you want but in the new ads posted above with candice, ale, and erin. You suprsingly don't see candice that much any way. If she really had so much influence on the actual product and is above ale and some sort of way that you said in number 2. I think they would have used her more in the commercial than they did ale. And I know they would have because they used alot of candice in that prague angel commerical. But they didn't in this one. Overrall, Candice is still not above ale or Adriana imo. Idk now that could be due to her being younger or whatever and maybe she does need to grow up but as of now she is no better than them. but there are certain factors she doesn't have one majorly being is her attitude. Its holding her back and until its gets better its going to continue to hold her back, because being an angel during adriana, ale, and gisele's time meant not only being beautiful but having the right attitude. And for me thats what separate candice and the other newer angels from ones like ale and adriana. They don't have it all that like the older angels did and all that the older angels did have is what made them that popular today and the reason why they have soo many people that know of them and are fans of them, the reasons why they trend all the time on twitter, the reasons why the get so many followers on twitter, hell they reasons why adriana and gisele was mentioned in a kanye song. Thats the type of popularity and recognition i'm talking about.

Adriana doesn't do that stuff all the time really, Those models like attention and stuff like that. Adriana really doesn't that much. I can tell from her tweets though that she was watching it though and went to bed right afterwards. But I know ale likes alot of attention idk bout anne v and the others, but my GUESS is that its the same. I remember seeing miranda at a golden globes party, and we all know how she is. Like I said before, I live in Brazil and Gisele is known everywhere by everyone. Alessandra is like... 70%. Adriana... maybe 50%. The media knows Candice, obviously, all those tops are known. But I'm talking about.... public knowledge. Anyways. Nice to know how it is from another country

Exactly. Didn't you say that some crucial professionals in this business still don't even know her? (A reason why she will never be that big like Adriana, Ale etc.) Maybe I got you wrong. Noooooo I don't believe so. If I did I meant mainstream, I am not one not judge HF because I don't follow it, I don't like, and Idgaf about it. And its rare I like the models that do it. And I know candice has to be known some way in the HF world after she lost all that weight and did all that work for it.

Give her a little time. Although she has been modeling for years, her "real" career just began 2 years ago. And since then she has improved really quick and now she does a lot of high fashion work. However, it's way too early to claim that she will never reach the level of a "historic" model. You guys are in a tearing hurry (If one can say that in this context...) But...I wanted to know the names of professionals who are important in the high fashion world. I don't mind "regular day people", because such statements are completely useless since we just know a few people and not the whole world. It's beyond our ken. Additionally, being big in high fashion doesn't necessarily mean that you're famous among "regular day people". It's like with artists. They are huge in the art scene and maybe even one of the greatest people of the century, but they're not known among normal people. Are you asking who don't know her in the HF world?

Who don't know her? Basically the media, Like cherrybomb said, people who follow VS and some who follow fashion know her, but as far as reglar day people who come across models like adriana, ale, miranda, Giselle, through social networks and media things, they don't know her. You'd have to know about VS and be a fan of it to know who candice is and why she should be just as important. But she is young so there is time to work on it but it better be quicker before some serious competition come her way or before the originals leave because I personally think once adri and ale is done, VS is going to fall short of what they use to be

Do you know VS's annual balance sheets? Maybe they earned more money since Candice is overexposed? They wouldn't use her that much by arbitrariness. There must be some benefit and I think it's an economic one. I don't think that they are using her for economic reasons, I think if they were thinking about it economically they would have used adriana or ale. Adriana is always the one that is trending during the vsfs, Chanel Iman trended in 2010 because she was becoming an angel, Candice opened. It wasn't a suprise that she opened. She is the first model to break adriana's opening cycle and got two wings. Candice didn't trend. On the day the VSFS was happening and the night it aired, you should be able to Google any angel and stuff about the vsfs should come up. For adriana, ale, miranda, doutzen, things came up.I actually searched for candice nothing about 2011's fashion show came up. I don't even think it was noted that candice opened in the articals/pics about the show and got to wear two wings, like it was for adriana. At the VS swim launch last year that miranda had came back in and candice had that white dress on, on the carpet with the photgraphers when they yell the model's name they called everyone names but called candice "the lady in white". *ouch* So thats why I asked MissNKlovesphotograph she means that candice is big in HF, because as far as the media and stuff goes *the things ale, adri, gisele, miranda* are popular in, candice isn't really that popular. If you are a VS fan like we all are then yeah of course your gonna know who candice is, but outside of that circle not really. One thing when adriana, ale, gisele was her age the media knew who they were by then. Some of them still don't. The only reason I can see why they are using her so much is so that she gets more popular but all of the other angels def. needs that exposure too. But I still can't see any of them getting as popular or as notable as the old angels were

You don't know anything about target audience, do you? Just because there are old women who buy VS stuff doesn't mean that VS targets them. For example, look at their website. It's pink and white. Those are typical colors for a young audience. (Color psychology) Or if you look at their Corporate Communication, you will recognize that they use social networks a lot. They try to get new customers by using Twitter, YouTube and so on. That's another indication for a young audience. Or the image VS is trying to represent. Flirty, funny, active... The models are talking about their first kisses or first dates. All these things are not prepared for an audience around 40. They want to attract young women. And well, there are studies (e.g. HOBA experiment) that prove that our purchasing is influenced by the media, advertising, etc. It's a fact. :| I get what your saying a target audience is, and I know what target audience is but didn't I say "I don't think it really matter that much" yeah thats what I said. I don't think target audience matter that much and I still don't find it a good reason to keep using candice all the time.
